How-To find your Motivation
Motivation. I see that word all over the place, not sure if itβs because I am a Coach in the fitness industry or if it is actually everywhere. If youβve followed me for awhile you know I have been on my fitness journey for almost 5 years, having my hand in several different kinds of activities and also battling myself some days when I simply just donβt feel like giving any effort. I have some tricks that get me up and in the game on those days! Here are a few of my go-to kick myself in high gear, workout mode!
1. Pinterest.
I am SERIOUS! Type inΒ βfitness Motivationβ and when you see rock hard, sweaty bodies who are slaying it, itβs hard to continue to justΒ βnot feel like itβ and go! Chances are, those babes have had the same I donβt wanna attitude you have some days. Its good to VISUALIZE what you are striving for and keep that in front of you!Β
2. Music
Do you need a new playlist? Something different---I have a song that makes me feel like a BADASS everytime I play it, without fail. Iβll share it here for you, no judgies! ;) Some days I feel like HARD ROCK, other days I want nothing more than Timeflies serenading me, then other days I may be needing some Rap/Hip Hop to get me in the zone. Whatever works--change it up!Β

3. Need a new program?
If there is one thing I have learned--when I feel burnt out and Iβm not looking forward to doing another workout that Iβve done so many times before, I need to switch gears and find something that will feed my soul and keep my body guessing to avoid plateaus. I love lifting always, sometimes I need a run or agility work so I have programs that lead me through it so I donβt have to design it myself and risk slacking off---when someone you donβt know is telling you to go on your TV screen...you donβt question it, you do it. Funny huh?Β
4. Peek yourΒ βBeforeβ Picture
I trust that you have taken yours. As scary as it may be--it is worth it. Some days I look at mine or take new ones and that motivates me---whatβs even more motivating is the AFTER picture! Take Measurements too!Β You should measure:waist, hips, thighs, chest and, upper arms.
5. Workout Clothes
Does it make you feel like a badass or an ass?
Wearing workout clothes will increase your confidence, for sure, so donβt wait a second and get yourself a motivational T-shirt or a new pair of sport shorts.Β Believe me, when you look like somebody who works out, you will feel and act like somebody who works out!
And thatβs a fact!
