I wish I could say I have a new Outlanders chapter ready, but... life has gotten busy again. Personal affairs haven't been the best.

“Gummi, I promise, you won't.”

“Ah, c’mon, lemme have a crack at it… hmm… some kinda ball that… goes in a bowl…?”

“Not even close.”

“Huh… oh, a ball ya use to make bowls!”

“There are no bowls!”

“Wha? Why’s it called that then?”

“It’s from a game called bowling.”

“Oh. Must be a big ball.”

“Heh, yeah… big and heavy.”

“Ah - oh… sorry, Pom.”

“For what? The baby?”

“Well yeah - wait, no, not what I -”

“It's okay! Don't feel bad. I was just as involved, remember?”

“Sure, but… I dunno, Pom - Milo and Honey weren't this big, were they?”

“Nope.”

“What?”

“How are you so calm about this?”

“I mean… I don't really have a choice.”

“When it’s all over, I’ll still have you… we’ll still have the kids… and all of us will have a new addition. Might as well just focus on that, right?”

“Yeah. Why?”

“I dunno… it kinda sounds like you thought about it a little, so… I wanna know.”

“Ah… well… I dunno either.”

“Is that why you asked me?”

“Eh… maybe… I love ‘em both. Figured boys would be easier, but Honey was practically an angel… still is. Can't help but love Milo though - that's my boy, ya know?”

“Yeah…”

“... Somethin’ wrong?”

“No, no! It's so sweet hearing you talk about the kids like that. I agree, Honey was the easier baby, and… Milo is definitely your boy…”

“You… don't like Milo?”

“What? No, I love him! I’ve always loved him… I still remember when he first poked his little nose out of his eggshell… He was perfect. I was so scared before… but the second I saw Milo, I just loved him right away. I want a bond with him… but the older he gets, the more he wants you…”

“Oh. You feel left out, ey?”

“... A little, yeah. Don't get me wrong - I’m glad you two are close. I want you to be close… I just don't wanna be forgotten, you know?”

“Not just by me, Pom. I know the kids love you. Honey’s just better at showin’ it. I’ll work on Milo - lads don't talk about this kinda thing, but he loves you too. Yer his mum… a lad needs his mum…”
