mObjOb 13 : marc o’brien : fri 10.4 : cOnnect
we took Route 3A on GRTC south on historic route 1, down past the james river into the blackwell and oak grove communities near harwood street. something that resonated with us was neighbors conversing on their front porches and near their fences, unlike the neighborhoods we live in downtown.
we talk about living in a more connected time than ever before, yet we can never find an alternative for live human to human contact. it’s an experience we cannot replicate through a screen. it is its own healthy environment and habit that we create across the fence or with a neighbor on our front porch.
what we took away while traveling north back to mOb studio is a sense of connectivity towards each other, our environment, and our communities. connection happens through our behaviors, social spheres, talking to people on the street, and here in this storefront today.
everything connects–how are you connected?
