It's contest time here in the MC RUT fun club! Apparently theres this thing called "horsemanning." It originally started in the 1920's, but its seen a resurgence lately, and its really taking the world by storm. As coincidence would have it, our album cover for PICK UP YOUR HEAD is a pretty solid example of horsemanning. Basically, we want you guys to pose for pictures mimicking the album cover. Submit them to us, and we'll repost them to Instabook / Facegram / Twizzler / Geocities / Zack's Mom's Juno account / etc. The person/s who submits the picture that gets the most response, good or bad (most likely bad), will win a personalized and signed print of the album artwork! Our new record Pick Up Your Head is almost finished. Most people these days are into cranking out record after record, but we took a more 1970s approach to the whole thing. Couple months off, started writing, booked studio time, ate at every Thai restaurant in midtown multiple times, made the mistake of eating at Zen Sushi on 15th, left the studio early that night, heartburn, vomit, done. We actually finished tracking everything the end of Sept – beginning of Oct. After the long process of searching for ‘the guy’, we settled on a mixer then waited for that process to begin. Long story short, the record will be out on May 21. There’ll be single from the new record going out to radio soon, so keep your ears open for that. We'll also be playing Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH. Tickets for that are going on sale February 1.
