I lost 100lbs
If anyone is going through body issues, this by no means is to bring you down. I still go through the emotions myself. Please take care of yourself.
On March 22, 2021, I decided to go on a crossroads in this weight loss journey, as I call it. An unhealthy lifestyle was a wake-up call for me. I was overweight, and my health wasn’t at its best. So after my primary care provider referred me to a weight loss clinic, though my physical was in January, I did not go to the weight loss center until March, after talking to my now doctor and having the internal test done before I started the process—all the while, living through the covid phase. I am not comfortable talking about how everything went down in my weight loss process.Â
My ups and downs were not easy, but my doctor and I made it work. I still did the traditional getting fit routine, working out, and eating well, plus intermittent fasting. Although I still have a sweet tooth, I sometimes scaled back on certain foods because of acid reflux. I was 273lbs, and now I am 173lbs (now 164lbs). I lost like another person. I am proud of myself, but weight loss is a mental game. It’s not just about balancing food intake and fitness.Â
I have photos of myself taken in 2015, 2017, 2018, and from 2020 to 2024. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, few pictures show my progress. Photos of my progress are at the source; please click the link.
