On the train between york and newcastle an (i presume teenage) guy sat next to me, who looked and sounded exactly like one of those british youtubers from back in the day (that isnt all that relevant but as you can imagine ive never met this kind of person irl so it felt sorta surreal lol) - he had put an extremely round backpack onto the overhead shelf and at some point that backpack suddenly fell off the shelf, cartoonishly bounced off the kid's head and perfectly landed in his lap and we turned to look at each other both making the surprised pikachu face

#his glasses were a bit askew but other than that he seemed unharmed i guess #the train wasnt even shaking that much or anything - and i havent seen any other luggage fall down in the 4h im in here #mine #this is kind of like those r/mildly interesting stories lmao

The guy on the train intercom just talked in very fast french for a solid minute, i barely understood half of it and apparently hes not gonna repeat any of it in another language so i hope it wasnt too important 🫠

#look i know im talking a french train here but even the deutsche bahn repeats their intercoms in english (at least some of the time)#doesnt help that the intercom is quite mumbly on top of the sheer tempo hes talking in #he did repeat all of it in french just now so at least i reunderstood the same parts i got the first time i guess #oh well #mine #im not good at french at the best of times not to mention 6am through mubmly intercom #anyway enough complaining byee #(see you later for more complaining about my travels im sure)
