Los humanos se han vuelto esclavos de la productividad y basan su propia valía en cuan productivos son. La consecuencia más terrible de todo esto es que los individuos no descansan nunca, pues siempre tienen en mente el ser lo más productivos posibles.

Esta religión de la productividad engendra la culpa. Si no están haciendo nada, es porque son holgazanes que no aprovechan su tiempo ¡Haz algo productivo! Y así, el sujeto se torna inquieto en su estado de quietud, y debe abandonar esa quietud para ponerse manos a la obra en lo que sea.

Llenemos nuestros horarios con horas en el gimnasio, con citas o reuniones sociales en un café, emprendimientos, clases online, otro trabajo los fines de semana, y la lista puede continuar. Este estado frenético de hacer cosas lleva, a la larga, al famoso síndrome de burnout o de estar quemado.

Pero a pesar del cansancio, el individuo debe seguir produciendo, porque en realidad no está cansado, dicta esta religión de la productividad, en realidad es un flojo y lo que necesita es ocuparse.
