This week has been super exciting. We went to see the Limon Dance Company rehearsel before they're off on their Colombian tour. Felt so inspired afterwords, It was great seeing Carla (Maxwell) and the company in action.

On halloween my classmate Petr and I spend all day after school walking around Manhattan until we settled on west 4th street for the halloween parade. It was crazy packed with people and except the cool ghosts, skeleton and MJ thriller wagon and dancers is was actually a bit disapointing. Lucky for us we still had a fun day!
NEWS!!!! I got myself a sponsor through the danish casting agency www.dask-online.dk My new sponsor is www.123hjemmeside.dk
Bailando por una causa Me and 3 other Limon student got lucky and scored ourselves tickets to this great benefit al El Museo del Barrio. 14 different companies performed, amongst the Kathryn Alter from Limon Dance Company. She performed Chaconne, Limons sole made for himself and I bet you wonder how a woman got away with performing a mans role, but she was absolutely brilliant!
Waiting on the train in beatiful Greenwich.

Union Square Market- Only a few minutes from Peridance. I absolutely love this market and go there a few times a week after school to pick up fresh, cheap and sesonal fruit and veggies. Today I found freshly made apple cider- my all time favorite hot drink!!
Peridance Capezio Center- Because the Limon school doesn't have a real home, most of our classes are at Peridance.. Every morning we have a 10am open advanced class. These morning classes are either taught by current company members like Kathryn Alter, faculty members such as Alan Danielson (school director), Becky Brown, Risa Steinberg, Sue Bernard and company director Carla Maxwell. It's such an amazing privilege to be amoungst these people. They are all so incredible special and I'm learning so much from each of them!
To find a home...
I cannot believe I’ve been here 3 weeks already. It’s all happening so fast and It’s been amazing so far. Omg the school is awesome, I’m dancing with great people and I’m just loving New York. I’ve missed it here! My plan all along were to start this blog, however so far I’ve had so much to do that it’s been impossible for me to find the time to sit down and actually write, but now that I’ve found my home away from home, I’ll start doing this a lot more. I have so much on my mind and so many great things to write about this experience. But one thing at a time.
After travelling as much as I have, I didn’t panic when my accomodation for the first few weeks, forgot to tell me that I couldn’t stay with them until Sunday ( I arrived Saturday), because they’d be out of town. I thought I’d be fine. My plan was to find a cheap hostel/b’n’b for the night when I arrived at JFK. Long story short, after 4 hours at JFK and the only available room being almost 200 dollars, I decided to just sleep at the airport. I put my suitcase in a corner, rolled out my yoga mat on the floor and used my backpack as a pillow. The next morning around 6 am I packed up my stuff and got the train into the city. I couldn’t help myself though, ended up going to Peridance to take my first Limon class ( with all of my luggage) and then, I went to my temporary home in Harlem.
I’ve been moving around the city though, as my first accomodation suddenly couldn’t house me more than a week. Luckily for me my old area manager recently moved to NY and offered me her sofabed for a few weeks while she was busy elsewhere. And finally, after 3 weeks being crazy busy and spending hours every single day looking for a place, I’ve found my new room, in Woodside, Queens.
What a relief. I moved in yesterday and already feel a bit calmer, although my biggest challenge is still ahead, finding enough funding so I can stay here for the full 9 months. ….. And kick the ass out off this program I’m doing, but that’s a given!!!
I am fortunate enough to have been accepted into the Limon School in New York, which is a unique Professional Studies Program for dancers (started Sep. 16th - May ’14) . The program lasts 9 months and I get
specialize in Jose Limons dance technique and repertoire. This is a huge privilege that offers the opportunity to really go in depth with one of dance history’s strongest profiles.....

"The question is not if dance has a future, but if man has a future" José Limon
Dear friends
I need your help.
If I may ask each and every one of you, just to spend a few moments to read read my little prayer♥
I’m now in New York studying dance and only have very short time to find enough money to get my full visa so that I can complete the Limon program (help!!).
I accept everything I can get, whether it is the price of a piece of gum, a pint of milk or one month’s rent, every little bit helps. If I don't reach my goal I will not get anything and I will have to leave New York in December.
If you also would share my project with your friends, it would be absolutely amazing. …
Thank you for your support,
