I have been so intrigued by this character. I've been looking through your blog, and I see the parallels you are talking about. Juno's perspective on cannibalism is especially amusing to me, considering some versions of Fauzi tend to develop a fascination with the subject (although their fascination stems from a different place) The way these characters throw themselves into their roles is incredibly funny to me. Imagining an argument between two people who reduce themselves to these one-note archetypes is so mysterious. I wonder how much they'd recognize the sort of innate emptiness being filled with something else, and if that would even be a part of a conversation. They can be Walmart Batman and The Joker Either way, they are feeding into each other's insane attention-seeking tendencies, so maybe they're getting something there at least lol. Or maybe it wouldn't be as satisfying because there can only be one cartoon villain here, and the other one is really cringe and stupid and not even good at this #projection I am intrigued nonetheless.... Hello! Sorry I took 10000 years to answer this. I have been preoccupied with game development teehee Fauzi was more hesitant to go through with having a child, but Rock gave them the most sopping wet, sappy speech about how much she wants to have a family with them, and they ultimately relented. Fauzi is somebody who inherently struggles with vulnerability, and while they love their child deeply, they struggle with a lot of fear surrounding the fact that they feel inherently evil about being alive. They're terrified of holding their baby (what if she combusts?), and they're terrified of saying the wrong thing. As a result, the alter that usually fronts with her is Nicholas. Nicholas is good at work. Nicholas is calm. Nicholas isn't trained to care for children. It's very awkward when a small child is incredibly attached to them, and they just kinda. stand there.

Despite it all, Fauzi loves their child and is trying to act normal. It's hard when the blueprint for parenting was whatever the hell was going on with them as a child. They tend to be a little more avoidant than they should be. As for Rock, she was incredibly excited about having a child. She felt much more confident in it all than Fauzi did, and went insane over parenting books. He also tended to be a bit overbearing and kept treating Fauzi like they were made out of glass throughout the pregnancy. As soon as that baby was born, she decided that she was going to get so insane about her family forever
