Why yes, I always try to coordinate the stages of my bruises with my clothes. This ensemble I call Ripe Aubergine of Spring.

Mellow me. A friend sent me some @aveda goodies to help me chill while I get ready to have the cancerous alien removed from my carcass. A little aromatherapy, some moisturized skin, and Stress-Fix composition oil on my wrists is helping a lot right now. Ahhhhhh. Aveda has been my jam since I was a student at @macalestercollege in the 80s. I'd take the 21B bus from St. Paul to downtown Minneapolis to get my hair cut and colored by students at the original Aveda education center in the funky Van Dusen mansion. I loved it. Sometimes, Aveda founder Horst Rechelbacher would come through and chat with the students and clients. There was always lots of New Wave music playing and lots of wild highlights in my spiky hair. :) To this day, the scents of Aveda make me feel better, and I appreciate the uplift it's giving me right now in the middle of a really tough time. ❤ Peace and wellness.

Yay! Another needle! More chemicals! This fun never ends. But hey - since this will be Thursday, I can have coffee today *and* tomorrow. And they GIVE you coffee at the end of this. Outstanding.

Spring is eager to take her throne, but Sister Winter is dragging her heels.

I'm having my own personal Kaffeestunde as the sun fades in the drizzle outside. My visitors are en route home, so any Klatschen today is nur mit mein self. ;) It's my last day of leave, and a week away has been good. Now, it's one last evening enjoying a bit of napping (with a heatpad and a heavy Mexican blanket) and a half pot of coffee with a little cinnamon and cream.

And yes, her hues rang true. The world is now a swirling snow globe, and Mid-Day and Evening conspire to keep Queen Winter on her throne.
