I decided to change my main lens and go all out and get a canon 400mm f5.6 and on my way home from picking it up today i stopped at Moore Reserve in Warrington. Covered pretty much the whole reserve and took these! The difference in the lens upgrade is amazing, love it! Lightweight and easy to hold on long walks... :-) Here's some of the shots i took. Was looking for an Icelandic Gull but didn't see it. Goldeneye, great crested grebe, pochard, and everything above showing. Hope you like the shots. Thanks for checking the blog out.
Another afternoon at Burton, saw Avocet, Peregrine, there was a Merlin very far out too! Also got a snap of the owl again, and had my tripod this time so was able to get a better shot :-)
Made up with this shot of a Little Egret coming into land... Hope you like it! Shot at Conwy RSPB reserve a few days ago.
Just a couple more taken along with my last post. Goldeneye quite far out at Moore Reserve Warrington. And a Nuthatch shot too :-)

Few shots taken over the last couple of days at Moore Reserve at Warrington, and Burton Reserve. Was very lucky to see the Long Eared Owl at Burton, an incredible bird, i missed the tripod taking the photo and didn't want to disturb it but got a couple of shots, and it's certainly one for the record book!! :-) Also, saw a Stonechat today that is on here, was made up with that one too! Treecreeper, Nuthatch to come, Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Great Crested Grebes, Pochard, Tufted Duck, Reed Bunting. Hope you enjoy the photos anyway, i have some more to put up also from the last few days.
Visited the Conwy RSPB reserve today for the first time with my Dad. Not a bad day out at all, fairly cold but a nice fresh day! We saw Merganser, Goldeneye, Pochard, Wigeon, Teal, Great Crested Grebe, Long Tailed Tit, Reed Bunting, pair of Twite, Dunnock, Little Egret, and more. A great day out, didn't manage to capture too much with the camera as a lot were too far, but here's a few to share. All shots taken with my Sigma 120-400mm lens. Hope you like.
A couple of other shots taken on winter walk yesterday testing out sigma 120-400mm telephoto lens, pretty pleased with it so far!
Black Tailed Godwit (record shot only, was pretty far out!) and Teal on the wetlands at Burton RSPB yesterday... Taken with my new sigma 120-400mm telephoto lens

Taken using Canon 70D and 18-135mm kit lens
Winter robin at Burton Wetlands, taken on Canon 70D with 18-135mm kit lens, we did see a Long eared owl but i didn't manage to get a shot because it was out of range with this lens. Next time maybe!!
Quick Intro...
I've decided to start a blog to share some of my shots, i'm not a pro, but an enthusiast taking photos for pleasure and to keep a record of things i've seen... I am using a #Canon70D and have a few different lenses, i won't be going too into depth on camera settings i've used unless people ask me. I hope you enjoy the stuff i will be putting up, like i said i'm fairly new to photography but i'm learning, tips, comments all welcome here :-) #newblog #newnatureblog #wildlifephotography #canon
