Let me show you where I landed, I think you’ll be interested by what you find.

He sees this in is dreams far too often, always at the end right before he wakes up. He wonders who the hell is asking him... he wonders what his answer is.

Its easy to get turned around, even if you’re a local. The mist and fog settle in so heavily its hard to find your way sometimes. Especially if you go to the parts of town that are less populated. Every town has its dead zones but you don’t want to get stuck in this one.

When you enter the town from wherever you’ve come from, you’ll be greeted by this sign. It shows up in your line of sight just when you’re starting to wonder where you are or if you’ve left.

It wasn’t often that he needed sleep, but when he did, he slept hard. He often only found rest in the company of friends, that’s where he felt the safest.

Chasing after only god knows what. This was the only real purpose they felt they had. They were all bonded by the desperate need to find out the truth, whatever that might be.

He’s a bit older. He could have left town after finishing school but decided not to. He liked to be close to family and this town was his home. He had his own place and worked at his family’s mechanic shop. He was good at what he did but still took part time classes at the local community college to learn trades. It was more of a hobby.

The whole group meets at the usual spot to talk about the strange things that have gone on in the town that week. They bring food and drinks to share, exchange notes and insights on how to quietly get rid of a local haunting. Classic tunes play on an old cassette player. Anyone is welcome. Rule number one is “No Secrets”.

Signs appear everywhere for these guys.. just when you least expect it or just when you need to see it most, a sign appears. Are they just visions? Or is reality really fluid around here?

All around the town was a vast expanse of land. It was only broken up by forests here and there. The town itself felt encapsulated. It had everything it needed to sustain itself. It wasn’t too small it couldn’t support itself. Not everyone knew everybody and that’s what made it perfect. Perfect to hide and perfect to hunt.

He’d fallen hard into the hay field, a desperate search to find what was missing.

He ties his shoes on the front step, getting ready for the meeting. There’s been a lot of news of strange activity in the open fields to the west of town as well as in the sky around the forest line.
