alright i actually figured out what ralsei is this time. For real.
WHEN YOUR CAT IS SLOWLY SIGHING AND ITS FUR IS LOOKING WHITE
- Gaster has a roaming pack of FRIENDs that force people to change their identifies or go into hiding or run away
- these FRIENDS are specifically hunting down "proteins" or eggs.
- the Forgotten Man is gaster's Hometown universe counterpart who gives people eggs
- gaster "takes issue" with the forgotten man for some reason
- cats hatch from eggs by default (Noelle's cat petterz 2 blog). if you mod the game, you can raise things that are visually different than the default cats
- ralsei is triple allusion to the forgotten man, asriel, and the concept of dess as a missing person.
- a kitten in cat petterz always inherits the visual data of its parents.
- the eggs don't change form between light and dark world because they're alive but lack a will
- spamton (knight's darkner) gifted tenna (kris's darkner) a special pipis (live egg) which he treats like a pet. pipis are frowned upon in TV world (Toriel's house) for some reason.
- special pipis is spamtenna daughter. spamton is puppet/cat elemental and tenna's element is unknown but he uses star attacks. stars are the utdr symbol of friendship. spamtenna pipis is an insane allusion to ralsei
- a plant's dark world form is a chosen form. the 7 flowers choose to be human. other plants have chose other forms, one looks nearly identical to the lightner milklooker.
- "my face is my face" –ralsei. ralsei CHOSE a boss monster-like form.
- to US they look the most like asriel, but to lightners, ralsei only looks like him (a monster) at a glance. Susie's comments imply that lightners, darkners, and plants looks distinct from one another.
- ralsei's makeup is pink and washes out of their portrait after they bathe. their clothes aren't part of their body because they have extra sets back in castletown + their clothes are all that remains when they fall in battle. their horns are probably painted, too.
- lightners have 100% monochrome portraits
- ONLY flowery's pupils are yellow.
- ralsei's mouth and blush are pink. ralsei is nearly monochrome like flowery and blue (blue's portrait sparkles are blue + his portait blush is pink)
- ralsei's favorite flavor is lactose. milk. that's literally milk. there's a cat running around hometown and alphys has been trying to tame it by leaving out milk
- ralsei has CUTE! PAW! PADS! boss monster do not have CUTE! PAW! PADS!
- ralsei is secretly digitigrade (look at their sprite and compare it to toriel or asgore who are plantigrade. THEY ARE STANDING ON THOSE TOES)
- ralsei can metaphorically and literally see in the dark. ralsei can literally see into the light world from within the dark world which means they must have eyeballs in the light world.
- ralsei can get chucked out of bounds like FRIEND
- ralsei can't turn into stone because they aren't a darkner. if ralsei was a darkner they wouldn't be a suitable third hero bc they'd be incapacitated by the roaring. ralsei couldn't be a plant either because they're immobile
- occam's razor. ralsei literally just walks through the light world to reach any newly opened fountain like any lightner would
- "ralsei became a pile of fluff". This is literally just how I describe my cats when they lie down on the floor.
conclusion: ralsei is kitty cat in the light world.

The Pumpkins represent the fun gang being mobbed by Titans and spawn while searching for some kind of key. The Angel itself it the source of the titan/spawn. The key could be the final shelter code (assuming that the code in the church isn't one of them) or directions towards World's Edge since we have to exit the maze to win.

Yo for the weird route in chap five do you think we’ll see them again? Do you think they saw the other side of the lake or “the other side”
oh we'll see them again, for sure. not for a while though since they skipped chapter 6 completely. i dont think they actually killed themselves for real, not in a way where anybody would find their bodies (unless part of the process involved leaving their bodies behind?). it was still a kind of suicide though, as they can probably never return to hometown either way.
