My heart is shattered. This man gave us SO much, and the entire time he was fighting for his life. And never said a word. Imagine having stage 4 cancer, and STILL giving your absolute all and putting your best foot forward, with a smile on your face, all to give your people hope. Most of us don’t even want to get out of bed when we have a cold. That’s a level of selflessness I can’t even begin to fathom, and I can’t stop thinking about it. He is a real life super hero. His legacy is beyond legendary, if solely off the strength of him literally devoting the last four years of his for the advancement of the culture. All that precious time he could have savored, he decided to dedicate to us instead. Idk why that messes with me so much, but it does.
