I'm nothing without you

And post number 4000 is for you. My wife, my heart, my soul, the reason that has kept me going for the past year that we’ve been together. You showed up and everyone immediately loved you. How I got selected to come make pasta with you I don’t know. But everyday I am so glad that kneading dough for bread has created such an amazing thing as this life I have with you. I wrapped my arms around your waist, our fingers intertwined and magic happened over a little bit of flour on the nose. Now… now everyday I am so happy that I get to have my arms around you, no flour required, but you are my best friend, my wife, my soul mate, and the only one I want to hold forever. I run my hand over your belly, talking to the twins that are going to come see us soon enough. And one day when we’re eighty and sitting around in our rocking chairs, the children and grandchildren gathered at our feet, we will have the most magnificent story to tell them. You are the love of my life. I have no words to express how much I love you. Just know that now, and for all eternity, I am yours.

There’s no chance that you actually know how much I love you. It’s been like that from the very first day, to be honest. You were so nice and sweet to me and every time we talked, it was easy for me to forget about any troubles I might’ve had back then and just enjoy myself. That was the first time I knew you were special. Then we had those countless dates and you never failed to prove it. That movie night when we forgot about the movies and ended up cuddling, those little walks and fancy dinners in town… Oh, and I still remember that day when I woke you up because I wanted some coffee, and you actually got out of the bed and went to Starbucks with me, because you didn't want me to go alone. And every day I can see all these little things that make me fall for you over and over again, but every time I try to say something, I look at you or you hold me in your arms, it’s all gone. Who can you do that, honestly?

I love how we can be all serious and sappy about our love and then just run around the house like crazy kids. I love how you always steal my covers in attempt to make me get closer to you (and I’ll always tease you about that, just so you know). I love that the first thing I see every morning is your smiling face. I love you.
