thereâs a dead girl inside me. i can feel her rattling around, her lungs choked with loss, heart pounding like wardrums. she had a laugh like summer rain until the world tore it away. (little girls who wish on stars donât last long on the ground.) thereâs a dead girl inside me and iâm the one who killed her.

âI was thinking of applying for a job here.â
A glance over his shoulder was given before he leaned a bit forward to speak again. He knew more than he should, if he were a normal human. He honestly felt bad for these animatronics. With the rumors and the feel he got from them, there were real souls trapped in them. And as much as he hated mortals and believed they deserved to suffer, there were some exceptiongs. No one needs to be condemned to this. These were children. Keeping his voice low to try to make it so the marionette was the only one to hear.
âI think itâs time all of you were given the chance to pass on.â
The Marionette froze. What had he said? The âpass onâ...? Who was this man and what did he know. An adult knowing this much was a threat for sure. What did he know about itâs secret? And he wanted it to pass on? It couldnât yet. Not yet. He had to pay. Not until then could it pass on.
   âNot yet...â

((Starter Call! Like this post for a starter.))
The response took him by surprise, and he lifted his head up to stare at the animatronic. ââYou responded.â This was weird. Did the puppet have the ability to speak? As far as Scott knew, it didnât, but clearly it had just spoken. Not only had it spoken, it had responded to himâ to his question specifically.Â
âPuppet, you canâ you can talk?â
The puppet froze. It had done something wrong. It had caused suspicion. It should have never spoken to the man, it was all a mistake now. But what should it have done? Remained silent and not spoken a word? What should it do now? Should it be silent? But it had already spoken. There was so much to hide but it couldnât stay quiet now that would only raise more suspicion. It would be better to hide the lie within a truth now.
âI can,â The Marionette responded simply. âI can respond to what I am told. It is in my programming.â
âH-How soon? I-I want my mommy and daddy to come back.â He murmured as he rested his head on the Marionette. The ghost child remembered the pain, the crying, the suffering. The man took his time with Drake seeing how weak and  futile he was.
âSoon, little one, soon it will all become clear. It will get better, I promise you that,â The animatronic cooed softly, stoking the young buy head in hope to calm him. Heâd soon have a body once more. Then they would have their revenge.
Closing -Â chopperpirate
He was indeed a rather small one â- a body so tiny, it could have been a toddlerâs own. taking note of the thingâs response, he had to be careful since even a delicate response could be dangerous when speaking to humans, with many trying to take Chopperâs own life out of paranoia.
As he looked up at the marionette, Chopper frowned in a confused manner, uncertain of the thingâs gender, species, or even intentions. Still, he lowered his head in frail eagerness to show the doll some respect. âIâm sorry, but prize? What do you mean by that?â
The marionette tilted its head at the small creature. What did it mean it did not understand what a prize was. It supposed it shouldnât be too shocked. Perhaps it was young and did not yet know how the restaurantâs ticket system works. Or perhaps this was his first time. In any case, the marionette was here to serve, an explanation was simply a part of the job.
âWhy, you may earn tickets at the games in the restaurant. You may bring them back here to me and Iâll reward you with any prize you would like,â The animatronic explained simply, looking down at the small customer. âDo you understand now, little one?â

The girlâs response did nothing to appease her worries but for all Kita      knew, her constant questioning could be bothering or even unnerving      the child. Still, she couldnât get rid of the sense to protect her and yet at      the same time, she felt as though she also had to be wary of her.
Why?
âWell⌠alright then.â Kita nodded with a small smile and stuck out two finger guns at the girl, adding a wink. âYou be careful, kiddo.â
Perhaps she could watch her from afar, make sure that she didnât run into any harmâŚ
That was it? Reina was surprised by the simplicity of the conversation. She had expected at least a few more questions. Like why are you âalone?â or âwhere are you parents then?â but the woman asked nothing. Not that it bothered the girl, actually this made her life much simpler. So she took the strangerâs statement in stride and waved politely back.
âOkay Miss. G-good bye.â With that, Reina turned on her heels and was on her way. Perhaps sheâd find somewhere nice to sleep for the night. A nice tree perhaps.

Lost -Â reclusiive
PERHAPS THIS CAN ease Faodubhâs conscience. He looks away from the girl for a brief moment, towards his home. It isnât too far a walk. He lets go of his cloak and looks down upon her once more, nodding succinctly.
âI have spare rooms in my home. You are free to use one as a resting place until you feel fit to find your way back.â
Reina was skeptical of trusting an adultâs offer but she could see little other option due to her circumstance. She would accept his offer, but she would be sure to be careful around this stranger. She knew better than to trust any adult with anything.
âT-thank you sir. I would, would like that very much.â
âHello little one. May I help you?â
