A really mundane introduction; 

Ah well, hello everyone. Alas there is something that must be said, Thank you. Recently, I accomplished a feat that I didn’t think was possible considering the lack of time I have spent on this blog and how that SDR2 is still only a game without animation. And, I am making this to say thank you. Thank you for all the enjoyable times I’ve shared with you all, and the friendships that I have formed from this … It means a lot to me.

For all of you are both enthralling writers and lovely people, many of you have inspired me to  hone my own skills and delve deeper in my character so that I am able to portray her in a light that is most befitting. Personally, when I first undertook the task of playing Mikan Tsumiki I held no interest in her, I purely had played a character similar to her prior - But now, I am attached to her and unable to leave this blog.  If you have stuck with me from my feeble beginnings I would like to give you my whole-hearted thanks. And for all those who have threaded with me or just plainly followed me thank you and remember if you would ever like to thread - I am more than willing to.

Hello everyone! As the mun here I’m truthfully a bit taken aback by the fact that I’ve reached another sort of milestone in followers, though that may not seem like a lot to many people?? Given that it blows away my previous high of 120+ really it’s more than enough for me to be ecstatic over and, well, I have always wanted to be a cool kid with a cool giveaway. In a way, she felt that she could hold the other at a distance for the fact that they were so different. They could never really understand each other, having grown into two completely separate lifestyles, right? It was impossible to empathize with someone whom you couldn’t even begin to understand. Or at least… that’s what she hoped. It was a thought that let her hold onto her sanity, at least for the time being. There was no way she could grow attached to the other girl as a friend… she wore her wide, happy smiles… but she wore them for everyone. Peko wanted to believe that she was just a happy, energetic person. That she didn’t care much to try and be friends. It was only in the girl’s nature to be nice to everyone, right? There was nothing special, it wasn’t like she was trying to befriend her alone? 

The reassuring, gentle smile served to make shivers run up and down her spine. 

Stop, stop… Don’t even think about it. 

"A band name…?" Peko mused, attempting to distract herself. Her teeth brushed against her lower lip and she stared ahead, attempting to keep a straight face. It was the birds. That’s what was making her so nervous, right? Not the fact that Mioda was willingly spending time with her, offering her company and conversation. “Yes, perhaps… Truthfully, I wouldn’t know.” 

The next words served to take her mind for a spin. She became unaware of her surroundings for a moment and practically stumbled and landed flat on her face, catching herself on a conveniently placed lamppost. “S-super nice… Mioda…” She cursed herself, straightening up and brushing the creases in her skirt. “I’m hardly… nice…” Compliments, birds… Mixed with her exhaustion from the previous night, it served to make her feel a little… off balance. Physically and mentally. She offered the girl an exasperated look, her face only serving to redden further at the sight of the bird perched on her finger. It was… right there. And it… wasn’t flying away. 

She stared helplessly for a moment, willing herself to disappear. To fade away, to melt into the ground right where she stood. That fluffy feeling… just within reach. But was it worth losing her well attained composure for? 

"I… I can…?" Her hands and her lower lip were trembling at this point, eyes locking on the sweet little bird. 

She glossed over the kendoka, realizing how lucky she was to have such a friend. A friend she could admire and trust with her life. Those were the best friends, weren't they? Even if you never talked or spent time together, as long as you could turn to them when you've hit your lowest low, when you've sunk beneath the dirt, and they can pick you right back up. Ibuki was sure that Peko was that kind of friend; a person, and not a tool, no matter how much she disagreed.

Well, she did try to agree with Ibuki. It was an attempt, and she had to give her that much credit. She hadn't expected the kendoka to know anything about music--but that was a-okay with her! You didn't have to be a famous musician to appreciate music, no matter what genre. Peko was the type of person, Ibuki thought, who would listen to her music not just because it was fantastic (which it was!) but for the same reason that she was her friend.

Then, she noticed the swordswoman was acting... strange. Stumbling over words, her cheeks redder than usual. She opened her mouth to ask if she was alright, but the lamppost just had to get in the way of that--sending the silver-haired girl on a trip to the pavement. Ibuki, reacting immediately, crouched by the girl's side and reached for her shoulder. Fingers lightly gripping her sleeve, Ibuki nearly tripped as well in her rush to her friend's side.

"E-eh?! Peko-chan? Are you okay? That was a nasty fall." Her words were fast, pouring out of her mouth before her mind had a chance to process what she was saying. Ibuki glanced over her friend to make sure there were no apparent injuries, and even her band mates helped out as well by hopping to her arms, heads swiftly checking the girl's arms. The one that had rested atop Ibuki's finger was poking itself near Peko's face, obviously interested.

Ibuki offered a gentle smile. "Of course you can! Go on, she won't bite, I promise!"

Sonia clapped her hands together, tilting her head slightly. "If you really want to, I’d love to teach you." She exclaimed excitement beginning to fill her.

A thought came to her, one that filled her with excitement and nerves. Perhaps the two of them could sing this song for the whole group. If Ibuki were to sing with her, then perhaps she would feel comfortable enough to sing before them all. But would the breeder even want to do something like that? Sonia smiled more, quickly reaching out and taking the girl’s hands. "I’ll teach you what the lyrics mean first, and then the song. I feel as though it’ll be easier to learn the lyrics and sing it if you know the meaning."

And then, the thought of Ibuki being able to perform with Sonia stirred her energy even more. Her eagerness knew no bounds as she placed her hands over the princess's, grasping them with delicate fingers that dripped excitement. "Really?! Hihi! This'll be a lot of fun! Sonia-chan and Ibuki can sing together, and then for everyone else! They'll love it!" Ibuki and Sonia as a star duet--she could definitely see that.

Of course, practice makes perfect. She'd have to actually sit down and take the time to learn the process, and Ibuki wasn't sure she would even be able to learn the lyrics to a foreign song. But, perhaps, with time and patience from Sonia, she could master it.

"Peko-chan!" she said, a bit loudly, pretending to be startled by the swordswoman's presence, "Ibuki was just looking at all the pretty clothes--it's not like she has the money or anything for this kinda stuff!"

It was true; no spare change, no dollar bills, nothing. She figured it wouldn't harm anyone to simply peek inside the store and wonder what she'd look like in those outfits, and that enticed a few stares from the passersby around her. A girl in a strange outfit with hair horns and four birds on her shoulders peeking into a store's gallery? Of course that'd pique the curiosity of the crowd.
