I have no idea what to do. Question for all who have transitioned: what were the factors that made you decide? Was it solely because of dysphoria, if you had dysphoria? When did you decide? How long did it take you for you to come to the decision?

My mom wants me to wait a while before I do something that will change me for the rest of my life. I agree. I am the anxious type, and if I have a due date for a decision, my ability to make that decision will dwindle to zero because I will become dysfunctional.

If I could start testosterone on an impulse, I would do it RIGHT NOW.

But then I start to think. Am I really unsatisfied with my body? Why exactly do I want to transition? Do I really hate feminine curves, or is it just that I want to lose weight? Do I really want a low voice, or is it just that I want to play male roles on the stage? Suddenly I think of all these reasons why my gender identity is not genuine, and I feel pretty shitty. Then I take a step back, and after all that over-analyzing, I listen to my gut, and it says, yes, I want to transition.

The question is, when?
