I had to leave my job because it wrecked my health

And now I have time to draw

I used to work in a cold storage warehouse

The temperature was around -30°C in the regular storage areas and -50°C in the freezer sections.

I got really sick because of it. It's been two months since I quit, and I still haven't fully recovered.

I tried to get a new job, but after just the training period, my whole body has been aching for three days.

Right now, I can't handle any physical workload

I’m sorry people have been unkind to you. I think your art is delightful, and I know many others do as well. It can be difficult to overcome the cruel voices in our memories (voices from others, and those that we inflict on ourselves) but you can do it!! If drawing makes you happy, then it is not worthless, because your happiness is not worthless. The worth of your art is not tied to the quality of it, but even so, your art is very skillful. It is important not to compare to others; I’ve been drawing for 16 years and many people who are a decade younger (or more) have much more skill than I do. But that’s okay, because drawing makes me happy. And it’s just a bonus that the more I draw silly things that make me happy, the more I improve!

Ah, but this isn’t about me. Sorry, I got carried away. I just wanted to tell you that I enjoy your art, admire your skill, and I hope that your situation improves. We don’t know each other, but even so, I believe in you and wish the best for you.

It means a lot to me

People used to tell me that my drawings were worthless

I often feel like I’m a bad artist, because people my age usually draw so much better

Half a year ago, one of the reasons I quit all social media was because I felt ashamed of my art skills

I’m trying to get better at drawing, but I just can’t seem to improve

I want to learn

I want to go to an art school or college

But I don’t have the money

I just wish someone would believe in me, see my potential, and take me as a student

I feel lonely in my desire to create

Every project I’ve started ended before it could really begin

I don’t have enough strength or skill

Honestly, sometimes I feel like giving up

But I’m not done yet

If my fate is to work as a cashier, I’ll try to delay it as long as I can

I’m so sorry I couldn’t post anything for so many months.

At first, I was too upset about my broken computer — all my work was lost for good

Then I got fired (again)

my roommate left

my friend betrayed me

and my health got worse

It became physically hard for me to draw because of my health problems

And honestly, I was too scared and ashamed to tell you all that I wouldn’t be able to draw for a long time.

I thought my only value was that I could draw fast — and if I couldn’t draw well or fast, then I'm a bad person artist

So I just decided to disappear

It was stupid, and I’m really sorry
