I worry the plushie I got for my niece's birthday is too small. She wants a big one because her sister got a big one for Christmas (my gift) but I ended up getting a smaller one because it's way cuter... it's a red panda... I hope she'll like the cute red panda... even if it's not as big as her sister's unicorn. I hate when they open a gift and look all disappointed (since they're too young to pretend they're not) but I think the red panda isn't thaaat much smaller? I don't remember how big the unicorn is exactly. I'm overthinking this but I want my lovely little niece to be happy

On May 28th 2026, there has been a first vote regarding a bill that would repeal the Code Noir.

The Code Noir is a set of texts and decrees from the 17th-18th centuries, defining the conditions of slavery and the status of Black people in France. It is still technically in effect today, although technically void due to amendments and laws against slavery.

Steevy Gustave, an Ecologist MP from Essonne, gave a powerful speech about this Code Noir and what it meant and still means in France.

I can only recommand you watch it.
