I believe there was a NSW one a while ago. I think it was called Chalkstuck? I might be wrong though.

I've always considered general meets to be 'all ages' events. As long as everybody behaves themselves there should be no problems!

I know a lot of members that have attended meets since they have been around 13 and everybody has been lovely to them.

I'm sorry to say that it's facebook only.We refrain from posting meetup information on tumblr for security and safety reasons.

Unfortunately we don’t like to post meet up info on tumblr because of how public it is.

We really only want members and their friends turning up so members can see the events and bring friends even though the friends can’t be invited.

If you spot someone dressed as an X and Y pokemon trainer with an espeon anf umbreon come say hi and I’ll tell you the meet info. Or ask most homestucks you see walking around

Hello! i’m new to the group (and meet ups in general actually) and i just have a few questions that i hope you can answer for me. What happens at the meet ups? i know that each has it’s own theme (i think) but what are some of the things that tend to happen at each one? also, what will be happening at the April meet up? i might not be able to make it as it’s 4-5 days after my 16th birthday so i have a few things to do. how long do the meet ups tend to last? how approachable are the members? i’m a tad shy around people and i don’t like to get in the way. also, what happens with food? is there food provided or do we bring our own or do we attend a nearby restaurant? thank you for your time, i asked similar questions yesterday in the “Ask” section but i was unsure whether it actually sent or not, so i decided to ask again the following day. hopefully i haven’t wasted your time, have a great day <3

Look our meetups have themes and generally havegames or activities. People are pretty cool and like to hang out. Bring your own food or food to share or go get maccas usually. The April meet is a Supanova meet so it’s at a con, which means it’s just getting photos of everyone’s cosplays. There might be a draw meet at the end of the month or beginning of May. They last as long as you want, most people tend to bugger off around 4ish.

Sorry to sound snappy or anything, I wrote you out a nice big answer this morning with my hangover and I’m still aching and annoyed at tumblr.

CAH got the thumbs down due to the general age of our members. I wouldn’t play that game with someone under 16 and the average age of our members is about 15. Play it at home all you want, but not on my watch. Sorry.

Twister and Monopoly are ideally 4-8 player games. Considering our average meet attendance is between 20 and 50 that sure as shit ain’t gonna work.

Uno is the same kinda deal. It could work but I think it could end with us splitting into smaller groups and that’s not what we like to do at meets. We try to get everyone involved.

And not everyone has a handheld console. Though it is a good idea. We try our best at meets not to exclude people, I mean it does happen, but we try not to [and I encourage people to approach me if they feel left out].

I am trying to think of more meets with games so don’t fret. I have at least 2 more meets planned. Though I think our next meet might be a bit more relaxed C:

Thank you for your input though, I do love getting ideas. A good idea is to think of themes and then we can plan the meet around the themes. Like BeachStuck, WinterStuck and TricksterStuck [examples from previous meets].

Each con I try to plan some games and stuff, but Feb is gonna be a meet free month because I want all the kiddos to get settled into school good and proper before we go upending them with cosplay things :3 Expect a March Meet and depending when Easter falls we’ll have an Easter Meet in April C:

I've had one other person mention this to me already and I'll be making a post about the misdeeds done at the beach meet. I've had a few complaints to me directly and I'm sad to hear these things. I'm more annoyed to hear about smoking near the group [I wish someone has told me right away] because I have previously stated at meets it is not okay to smoke near the meet. We have too many peeps with asthma and I personally really dislike secondhand smoke so yeah. Expect a post about this kinda thing in the Mutterings and Main Page.

Edit: To clarify. If you are an adult/smoker who wishes to smoke while we're at a meet my only request is you move it downwind or a bit away from the meet. Some members are too shy to ask you to not so it's just a nice thing to do C:
