You spend all this time distracting yourself; with school, with friends, with sex, with anything you can. The things that used to exhaust you don’t kill you like they used to, don’t make you want to sink into the oblivion of unconsciousness, there is no time to think about that. But then you get a moment- or many moments, when you have to simply sit and think. You sit and you think and you think and you sit and you think and you think and you think and you think and that’s what kills you; those moments when you are simply you, defined by no one else.

Take a shower, wash off the day. Drink a glass of water. Make the room dark. Lie down and close your eyes. Notice the silence. Notice your heart. Still beating. Still fighting. You made it, after all. You made it, another day. And you can make it one more. You’re doing just fine.

I hate that concept that I am a lonely Half looking for the Other, that my life means nothing until I find them. remember no one else is your key.
