It was directed towards tumblr staff and unless you are a part of tumblr’s staff, which, based on what you’ve said and how you’ve answered, I can discern that you’re not, then your presence is not needed. OR, In layman’s terms, It’s like when you’re talking to someone about something serious and someone you don’t know decides to give their opinion on your conversation. You know how annoying that is? That’s how annoying you are being to the person who made this post. 2. You’re self-interjection into this conversation is linked to a long line of white entitlement where white people have been interjecting themselves into the lives, conversations and spaces of POC’s since colonization in the 1500s. This entitlement has and continues to displace and disenfranchise entire groups of people and also erase the histories of said people. 3. How can you argue with an oppressed people about their oppression? It’s like telling someone that’s depressed that they’re not depressed and they need to just get over it. It’s highly problematic, because you have never experienced what they experience. Finally, to your cohorts who also felt the need to jump in, let’s not forget to look at how violent and unprogressive this woman’s own argument was, threatening to stomp on people’s faces and condescendingly asking POC to become servants within her home. Doesn’t that sound like racist and violent language to you? This is just the bare and basic ways that you have been problematic. I could go on, but as a POC it’s not my responsibility to educate you or your cohort. There is a thing called Google which can answer all of your questions within the comforts of your home. If you have any questions about my credibility, I am a graduate student at a top 10 university and graduated from a top 20 institution with a 3.8 GPA and I can prove it. Because of slavery and racism “minorities” are by definition, constantly oppressed. Therefore, any POC on this post is oppressed whether they know it or not. Just like someone can be depressed without knowing. 2. So what you’re saying is that you approach violence with violence? You were violent towards my community, but I didn’t approach you violently. You’re community is constantly violent towards my community and still black people continue to peacefully protest and talk to white America. So are you any better than anyone who threatened you? 3.
