I mean, I get it; I have sympathy for your situation. And it's good that you pay for authors when you can. But, I just, maybe I'm reading into it too much, but your choice of words... don't scream much sympathy for the authors themselves?

The situations in their lives might be similar to yours?

in my state, the minimum wage is a pitiful $7.25. Before taxes, that comes to $1,160 per month if you're working full-time. if this is your monthly income, you are at 1/3 of the US poverty line. someone using IF as a part-time or full-time job and making what anon says is not living in luxury.

the pirating community needs to stop viewing patreon alpha builds and side content as a "pay-to-play" service. we are supporting projects. if there was no extra content, some of us would still support because we are excited about what's to come and want to see these stories realized. the additional content is a "thank you for helping me out! check out what i'm working on, even if it's unstable!"

you will get this content at an extremely low price, if not free, if you just have patience. and that's the problem--you can't be patient. and it's not just that you can't be patient on your own, but you have to share it around, which is dissuading people who may be otherwise interested in supporting the author to access this content.

2) Trial Take down the culprit in a witch trial - whether that be as an innocent suspect, the facilitating judge, or even the killer. All as you cut down the ones you love to ultimately save them. To come out of this ordeal as the ultimate victor, difficult choices must be made during the course of the witch trials.”
