Still have so much stoning to do on my baby but we’re gettin’ there

okay!! (this will probably be long) so I think I got up around 5 am and the first thing I did was look at my dress bc my teacher and mom stayed up until 3 am crystalling it (thx @worldchamp212) then I played some music and put on my wig and makeup. then I went down to the venue around 7 maybe with my friends and teachers. I found my ballroom and got something to eat. I honestly can’t remember where I was in the line up because this day is a blur but I started warming up and watched some others dancers in my competition. I was super nervous when I went backstage because I’m always the most nervous before hardshoe. I did my hornpipe and michael said he thought it was one of the best in the competition!! I was super happy with it and then I went to the next ballroom for my reel. I think I was one of the first if the not the very first group up. I was on the big awards stage which I was super happy about because I could move a ton. I felt like I was flying throughout the whole dance and my teachers said it was solid. after that all I remember is waiting for what felt like forever for recalls. thankfully I recalled and starting warming up for my set. I had about 50 sets in front of me. when I finally went backstage I was super ready and excited because my set is my favorite dance. it was the best I’ve ever danced it and my teachers were really happy with it too. after I was done I finally got something to eat and went to go watch other dancers from my school. at awards we sang Christmas carols as usual and my awards were one of the last I think. I was so nervous backstage and then they called me as a world qualifier! I was so happy and I ran out to hug Ciara budi because she finally qualified and got the ugliest action shot of me running onstage :’) when they started announcing the world qualifiers placements my heart was beating so fast and I thought I was gonna throw up. my goal was to get top 5 but there were so many girls that were fighting for that spot so I honestly had no idea how it would turn out. they got down to top 10 and I started getting teary eyed because I had never been that high before! they kept calling numbers and they got down to sixth place and I remember holding anna robertson’s hand so tight because this is the moment that we had been waiting for (so cheesy wow) but we both wanted top 5 so bad and we got it!! I started sobbing and jumping and anna and I hugged so hard I almost fell down 😂😂 then they called 5th place and it wasn’t me and everything is just a complete blur at this point because everything happened so fast and they called 4th and it wasn’t me either!! I had no idea what to do and I was ugly crying so hard ugh why. I was then called for 3rd place and I honestly couldn’t believe hearing my name. lydia @irishdancearmy ran up and hugged me and I remember the lady trying to put my sash on my and I was just sobbing so hard. when I got off stage michael was already there and gave me a hug and said, “I told you your hornpipe was amazing!” then my mom came up and we hugged and it was a really special moment. I had to sign papers for my perpetual but my hand was shaking so bad I could barely write. I went and saw all my RRH friends and all I remember them saying is “you made rachel cry!!” then I hugged catie and Hannah who were both crying and that moment is probably my favorite memory ever since we’ve been best friends since we first started together. after I calmed down I redid my makeup since I basically cried it all off. I got some professional pictures done and went back to my hotel room to shower and go to bed for teams the next morning!! thanks for asking this was fun to do (you honestly rock if you read all this because it’s basically one ridiculously long run on sentence)

You all asked for it… He was the Lord of the dance 10 years ago, but I hope his feet don’t go up in flames again because of his hoverboard exploding.
