Maths Day Celebration
Year 3 parents appreciated the student’s efforts and gave a very positive feedback. They were pleased to be a part of a fun learning experience. Students enjoyed participating in different activities with their parents. The entire preparation process gave the students an opportunity to work as a team. Collaborative learning has enabled our students to be responsible, to organize and lead an event.
Children could relate the movies to their term topic in the Curriculum “Fiction Stories”. They enjoyed all the aspects of the movie.
Above all – a day full of Fun, Cinema and Popcorn!
Children presenting the assembly were highly enthusiastic and presented with confidence. The children, parents and teachers enjoyed it. The audience were able to relate and take back learning with them.
Students enjoyed the activities and made them realised that dreams do come true if they will believe that they can achieve it.
The students were enthralled with the tableaus and wished they had more time to explore all the cultural stalls on the grounds. The parents were thrilled with the experience. It was a day well spent in the wonderful spirit of U.A.E.
The activities were very inspirational and motivational to the students. The students and the teachers wholeheartedly took part in the activities and the students now have a better understanding of martyrdom and the sacrifices made by the heroes.

3D’s Class Assembly - The Life of Sheikh Zayed
The dreams of Sheikh Zayed were highlighted through a video where he spoke about His future vision and dreams of UAE. In addition to this, the children also recited a poem in praise of Sheikh Zayed, followed by an enchanting dance performance bringing to light the culture of UAE. After all we all need to commemorate Sheikh Zayed – A man with unwavering determination whose dream proposed into unifying and building a strong Nation – The United Arab Emirates.
The assembly was timed well. The children presenting the assembly were highly enthusiastic and presented with confidence. The children, parents and teachers enjoyed it. The audience were able to relate and take back learning with them.
ICT COMPETITION - Year 3 students
2ndNov-14th, Year 3 ICT LABS
The ICT Competition was conducted to showcase students learning during their ICT classes. The Competition was conducted during the ICT Period for all classes in the year group. The competition formed a CROSS CURRICULAR Link with LITERACY. Students had to make a STORY BOARD on their favourite story. The students participated very enthusiastically using the ICT skills.
Students could use excellent colour schemes to make attractive STORY BOARDS with characters and dialog boxes/speech bubbles. The Children participated with a healthy competitive spirit making their favourite storyboards of Little Red Riding Hood /Pinocchio. Three winners were chosen from each class. Students were also excited to work on their new LENOVOS THINKCENTRE DESKTOPS, in the ICT LABS.
The students participated very enthusiastically in the competition. This enhanced their ICT skills. It also infused in them a sense of healthy Competition.

Road Safety Week - Year 3 Classes
Aims & Objectives :
· To provide opportunity to develop road and traffic awareness.
· To provide opportunity to students to demonstrate their Health and safety in and outside school.
To reinforce the concepts learnt by the students with regards to road safety
Students understood the importance of road safety. They enjoyed performing and showed their best abilities capturing the attention of the audience. The success of the event was an example of the continued cooperation and support of the teachers, parents and the students.
Road Safety Awareness - 3B Class Assembly
Science Fest Dubai’s mission is to celebrate sciences through the arts and popular culture as well as to promote STEAM education. Its purpose is to exhibit the latest technologies and innovations within the field and serve as the main platform for research centers, science museums, universities, and schools to showcase their scientific talents and achievements.
This program was an interesting and entertaining experience for the year 3 students. It certainly enhanced their confidence as they indulged themselves to three different activities/ workshops namely the Movie Screenings: LED Light Emitting Diode - The Light of the Future; the Science Magic Show and the Science themed - Performance Poetry. It has helped to bring science to life and make learning more enjoyable for the children.

Mishal Faraz, a year 3 student of The Winchester School, joined the Emirates Environment Group (EGG) Recycling Campaign 2014. As a result of her zealous efforts she collected 517 kilograms of battery and won the competition.
She proudly received the award during the celebration of the World Environment Day last 28th of May 2015.
