Kids are very much people. They are there own people. And some of their tastes come from us. But the fact that they like Fall Out Boy and not Panic at the Disco is just evidence they have their own tastes.

Across America, over 1,000 hospitals, nursing homes, maternity wards, and providers have now closed, cut services, or are at risk of doing so in the year since Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans ripped over $1 trillion from Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to bankroll tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.

The wreckage spans every corner of the country. Hospitals have been forced to slash services, clinics have shuttered, and nursing homes have turned away the seniors who need care most. Maternity wards have gone dark, abandoning expectant moms in care deserts where delivering a baby has become a lifeor-death gamble. Rural communities are hemorrhaging jobs. Urban hospitals are teetering on the brink.

And the toll keeps mounting. More than 15 million Americans, including seniors, children, and Americans with disabilities, are at risk of losing the coverage they depend on. More than 25,000 health care workers have been laid off. Families are facing higher premiums, higher out-of-pocket costs, and impossible choices about whether they can afford care at all.

What began as the largest cut to health care in American history has become a nationwide health care crisis. One year later, the consequences of Republicans’ health care cuts are impossible to ignore as the fallout spreads, decimating the American health care system and local economies, forcing working families to pay the price.
