How amazing it is to find someone who wants to hear about all the things that go on in your head.

Make the first move, tell people how you feel, stop being so scared of rejection, stop feeling so engulfed with thoughts that aren’t even yours, and stop wasting your fucking time.

Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past over and over again.

You, of all people, deserve a happy ending. Despite everything that happened to you, you aren’t bitter. You aren’t cold. You’ve just retreated a little and been shy, and that’s okay.

Our job is to love people. When it hurts. When it’s awkward. When it’s uncool and embarrassing. Our job is to stand together, to carry the burdens of one another and to meet each other in our questions.

Do not find peace. Find passion.

I’m a very strong believer that whoever is meant to be in your life will always gravitate back towards you, regardless how far they wander.

In order to move on, you must understand why you felt what you did and why you no longer need to feel it.

For some reason, we are truly convinced that if we criticize ourselves, the criticism will lead to change. If we are harsh, we believe we will end up being kind. If we shame ourselves, we believe we end up loving ourselves. It has never been true, not for a moment, that shame leads to love. Only love leads to love.
