Asks are always welcome!! Much love!! 😊❤️
This post serves as a masterlist for all the Good Omens Emoji Prompts categories I've created. It will remain pinned at the top of my blog for easy access. It - & all the category posts - will also be tagged under "Good Omens Emoji Prompts". I'm personally accepting prompts (my ask box is open, even for anon) from these categories which will be filled & answered here on tumblr & then posted on AO3 as chapters in my GO prompt collection stardust and inkdrops. I'm aiming to keep each one as a ficlet under 1000 words... but I reserve the right to exceed that 😏 Everyone is welcome to participate by reblogging a category post of your choice to invite prompts & start writing! Remember you can combine emojis from different categories in your prompts to create specific or fun combos! Let me know if you would like to be added to the tag list on the category posts! Let's write more fun Good Omens fic together! ❤️

“Lavender earl grey?”
“Oh, certainly!”
Crowley watches from where he has a shoulder propped against a structural pillar of the ice cream shop as yet another small, pink sample spoon of gelato is passed over the counter…
And slipped directly into Aziraphale’s waiting mouth.
“Mmm,” he hums in appreciation, smacking his lips thoughtfully. “Very lovely!”
Eh…fifth place, Crowley reckons.
The angel’s slightly scrunched brow and the lack of blinding brightness in his smile ranks that flavor easily behind the encouraging head tilt and nod of pistachio, pleasantly surprised raised eyebrows of toffee crunch, the faint groan of chocolate espresso, and - Satan help him - the full-body wiggle of raspberry passionfruit.
The shop is busy but not crowded, and Aziraphale is getting far more free samples than any other customer, his beatific, sunny smile and generous praise far too endearing to deny.
Crowley, for his part, is content to count the sample spoons, swiftly miracle away the flush that threatens to flood his cheeks at the noises Aziraphale makes, and pretend he’s not ranking the flavors based on what the angel seems to like best.
Two more flavors - salted caramel pecan and peanut butter brittle, third and sixth places, respectively - exchange hands over the counter before Aziraphale finally turns to Crowley.
“Oh, I can’t possibly decide,” he bemoans, with a simpering little pout. “What would you choose, my dear?”
Crowley shrugs, waiting an acceptable amount of time before offering a response, taking pains to sound as bored and uninterested as possible.
“Well, I’ll have the chocolate espresso, myself,” Crowley drawls, nodding at the girl behind the counter, who immediately starts scooping his choice onto a tall cone with relief. “Love something dark and bitter, you know me. But maybe you should go for that fruit…berry…thingamy. More up your alley, probably, all tart and sweet.”
Just like you, angel.
Aziraphale beams at him and, if Crowley wasn’t already sure he’d picked the right flavor (and he was), then that face would tell him all he needed to know.
“That sounds delightful,” Aziraphale pronounces happily, turning back to the now slightly desperate-looking employee. “The raspberry passionfruit, if you please!”
(And Aziraphale doesn’t need to know that Crowley would have picked a vomit snot flavor for himself if it was the angel’s second favorite, simply because Crowley already knows he’ll be handing his half-eaten portion to Aziraphale to polish off, once he’s finished his own.)
Gelato in hand, Crowley holds the door of the ice cream parlour open for Aziraphale, and they set off for their agreed upon stroll through St James’s Park. They chat about everything and nothing, as they tend to do. They talk about the heavenly missives Aziraphale no longer gets since they thwarted Armageddon and the demonic gossip Crowley hears from Shax on the sly. By the time they get to the park, they’re discussing a play Aziraphale wants to see next week and an erotic art exhibition opening next month that Crowley thinks may be suitably demonic enough to require his attendance.
(Aziraphale steadfastly refuses to accompany him but Crowley knows, when he pulls up to the bookshop in the Bentley, he’ll go without a fuss and have a fabulous time to boot.)
As they happen upon what Crowley privately refers to as ‘their’ park bench, Aziraphale is wiping his mouth daintily with a miracled napkin, his fruity gelato nowhere to be seen. Taking a final lick of his own, Crowley waits for the predictable side-eye toward the cone in his hand, before offering it to Aziraphale.
“Finish this off for me, would you, angel?” he asks nonchalantly. “Should only have gotten one scoop…”
“Oh, I couldn’t possibly,” Aziraphale demurs, eyes fixed on the half-eaten treat.
“Go on,” Crowley tempts with ease. “You’ll love it, nice and chocolatey. Otherwise, it’s going in the bin…”
Aziraphale’s eyes widen comically in horror. “Oh, well, it shouldn’t go to waste,” he protests, before taking the cone from Crowley’s fingers eagerly.
The demon hides a satisfied smile.
As they take a seat on their miraculously empty bench, Aziraphale chatters in between licks about a new first edition he’s acquired, while Crowley listens idly and watches him enjoy the chocolate espresso with relish. Intermittently, he eyes the cloudless, summer sky above Aziraphale’s fluffy, white curls through his glasses. He hasn’t done weather in ages, but maybe he can tick up the air temperature around their spot just enough to have a few drops of ice cream melt down Aziraphale’s wrist…
(For no particular reason, other than his first place flavor…is whichever one he gets to see Aziraphale lick off his own skin.
so many amazing words in the english language. you have clandestine and precarious and serendipity and iconoclast and then you also have staunch and sludge and slurp and smudge
I was thinking about the whole "fandom moves on to something else" thing and it made me think about my annual picnic. Every year, I have a big picnic in early November and invite a bunch of people. I rent out a pavilion at a local lake, have people bring food that I grill for them if they want, have some games for the kids in the group, and just generally hang out.
Now, the way this goes is that I have everyone show up around 4:30pm. People show up, it's a big crowd, it's pretty warm out because the sun is still up and the mingling is great. People eat, share food, the kids run around in the trees and check out the lake, and we all just generally enjoy ourselves and catch up. Then the sun starts to go down.
People start getting under the pavilion, it starts getting a little chilly, and maybe those with really young kids start to pack up and say good-bye. This is usually when I light up the fire in the pavilion's fireplace and people will begin gathering around there. I let the grill burn down and sit down with everyone as everything gets a bit more mellow. Maybe we make s'mores or have cookies or something but this is usually were you start having more people say their good-byes and head out. That's how it goes for the next couple of hours, little dribbles of people winding up and heading on home until it's 9:30 at night and there's just a few people left in the pavilion in the woods sitting around a little fireplace quietly talking.
You know what? That's the best time at these things. Some years we'll be out there until almost midnight, just chatting quietly and staring into the coals. You learn things about people then, you hear interesting things, and you just feel closer.
So what does this have to do with fandom and moving on? Well, I see it like this. The show is still on, that's the early part of the day. Plenty of people around, lots of activity where art gets made, headcanons and meta fly fast and furious, and tons of fic gets written. Then the show ends, people are still creating but a few peel away, they have other things they have to do or just aren't interested in sticking around. Slowly but surely it goes until it's just a few people left.
That's when the interesting things really start coming out. You still have the other stuff but you start to get off the wall headcanons and wild meta, you get odd art, you get fic the person finally decided to write, and it's good. And hey, every once in a while, someone shows up late and you grab some food out of the cooler for them and warm up a burger for them over the coals while others grab a chair for them and you get them up to speed on the conversation and maybe show them some pictures from earlier in the night and they get to have some of that glow from earlier even if they missed the original.
That's fandom to me. As long as a person is still sitting around that fireplace late into the night, ready to chat, the fandom is never dead.

Today Aziraphale told Crowley about that time he’d had to catch Gabriel jogging, and about the archangel’s less than flattering comments on his corporation.
Somewhere around the time Crowley’s head started smoking and shooting literal flames he realized that his Husband might not find the story as amusing as he does.

Keep writing Aziraphale and Crowley in South Downs Cottage. Read the fics under "established relationship" tag. Draw them cuddling and watching tv, gardening, baking. Talk about how they would fight about the silliest stuff.
Keep the ending they deserve alive. Their reality is in our hands.
If anyone is looking for wonderful fics to read, look no further than the ones by @quitequaintrelle, @carry-the-sky, @gingiekittycat, @firelikestars, @fellshish and so many more. And if that's not enough, you're welcome to check mine out, too.
Fandom is only alive because there are people feeding it.

looking back to the day of the finale release, it’s absolutely insane how excited i was. Like I was fully thinking „tomorrow I’ll get to see aziraphale and Crowley kiss and make up!“ in the days before and feeling so warm and happy about it and i wasn’t able to watch it immediately but I fucking RUSHED home to download the file and when it took practically YEARS I was in absolute agony and then it finally started and just went downhill SO fast. Like I was clinging to my hopes for a good ending like a swimming ring. Didn’t give a fuck about the bad characterization, the randomly killed of side characters, the plotholes, I didn’t care I just wanted them to hug and kiss. And i was so absolutely certain that they would and then they fucking died.
i dunno it’s just crazy to me to remember a time when that finale wasn’t the worst thing in this fandom after Neil Gaiman himself.
