HADRIA MALFOY, LUCIUS' SISTER (OC)
I'm back and introducing a new OC: HADRIA MALFOY! She is also part of the Black twins' AU, and we will talk a lot more about her in the future.
And that's the tragedy of the Malfoy family.
In May of 1961, Mrs. Elmeera Malfoy gave birth to a new child for Mr. Abraxas. It was a long and painful labor, she almost died. Abraxas had hoped for at least one more boy, a new heir like Lucius, but instead a girl born.
Lucius really wanted a brother, but he wasn't as disappointed to have a sister as his father was. Hadria Malfoy was a sweet girl and saw him as a hero, always following him around the mansion, and he enjoyed being fawned over by his little sister.
With the great friendship between the Malfoys and the Blacks, especially when Lucius and Narcissa started dating, she became very close to the second Black son, Regulus. He was her best friend.
A girl from the Black family would marry a Malfoy. Walburga and Abraxas felt it was only right that Hadria should marry one of the Black heirs.
Hadria was the jewel of the family... Until 1973.
It was Easter, and Hadria and Lucius returned home for the holiday. At this point, Lucius was already a prominent follower of Voldemort, but he made a mistake and angered the wrong people.
It was a full moon night. Hadria loved playing with the family's peacocks, but one of them was lost. She insisted on find the lost one, and her mother accompanied her... And that was the tragedy of the Malfoys.
An attack by Greyback took Mrs. Malfoy's life and scarred Hadria forever.
Abraxas blamed Hadria. She was the one who insisted they search for the peacock in the middle of the night. And Lucius... Lucius never looked at her the same way again.
She was now a werewolf, a monster that would bring shame to her family. And they couldn't say she was dead, because Dumbledore was soon at their door saying there was a way to help the girl.
Her first full moon was at Hogwarts. A new room was made for her in the Shrieking Shack, far away from Remus so they wouldn't hurt each other. The next morning, Remus yelled at his friends and chased them away so they wouldn't find her, keeping her secret.
When the Marauders started hanging out with Remus on full moons, he invited her to go with them, but Hadria refused, as she didn't want to cause even more trouble with her family.
Abraxas did a good job of excluding her from all the events the family attended, as if she didn't exist. She was betrothed to Regulus, but he didn't want to marry his best friend and trap her in a life of loveless torment. He always found an excuse to postpone the wedding.
Abraxas wanted to get rid of the problem of the full moons, so he married her off to the first man who offered himself: Evan Rosier.
Evan needed to get married to escape the pressure from his father, and for him, Hadria would be the best option. She was his friend, and so he would protect her from the suffering of a husband who would mistreat her when he discovered her secret. It was a mutual agreement.
Her wedding day was the worst day of her life, condemned to marry for convenience so that her family could get rid of her. But Evan was not a bad husband. They had their problems, they needed to follow the Rosier family's wishes, and they found their way. He never forced her to do anything she didn't want to, and he took care of her after each full moon better than her father and brother ever had.
Many things happened during the war. She lost a son, lost her husband, and hid in a werewolf community that was destroyed by Death Eaters. It seemed she would never have peace in her life.
With the war over, Evan dead and having betrayed everyone by handing over information to the Order of the Phoenix, the Malfoys completely erased her from the family history. Not even Draco knew of her existence.
And Hadria didn't care to keep trying to win back her family's love. She fled to France, pregnant with another child by Evan, and promised to herself that she would not allow her daughter to be near her father or her brother. She would have a happy life and be loved.
And so, for all who asked, Hadria Malfoy never existed, and Lucius was the only son and heir of Abraxas.
