Yiannoula - the talented 7 year old that is inspiring thousands of her generation. This upcoming artist can sing pop and ballads making her one of the new and youngest sensations of her kind! Her demographic target audience is female children up to 10 however, even the older generation can find her voice beautiful.

AREAS I COULD IMPROVE: Jump cuts could be smoother to allow easier transition from each clips When clipping the audio track down I could have somehow made it smoother so it wasn’t so obvious the track had been cut The final ending of the video seems too blunt and should have had a fade to black transition that was more subtle and not as harsh.

Here are some of the steps taken during the editing process of my video. I had to import all media along with the audio sound of the song I wanted for the video. I used jump cuts however I decided to also reduce the spread and duration of a lot of my clips to make the clips have more impact and emotion. I also needed to unlink the audio from a few of my clips so that the sound was not interrupting my song track.

My cds and cases arrived too however I then discovered that the cd cases did not have an area for the inlay to be inserted. This was very frustrating as I had paid for a batch and therefore if I had more time I would have ordered a tester to make sure even though I was certain these were the right cases.

My booklets have arrived from Mixam. They are pre staples and put together already in order. The printing quality was good and just how I imagined however I realised that they had slightly overlapped images down the crease and fold of the booklet. If I had more time to re order I would speak directly to Mixam and make sure this did not happen again.

Choosing the song for my promo video. I came across a child singer Connie Talbot who is no longer a child however had many covers and a single on her YouTube page from as a young girl. I immediately fell in love with her cover of over the rainbow as it was so innocent and absolutely perfect vibe and lyrics for the video I wanted.

I then started looking at younger musicians currently popular on YouTube. This brought me to an internet sensation Sophia grace however, her songs seemed a little too mature and had too much character in them which wouldn’t work for such an innocent album of mine.

Getting inspiration for my music. I started looking at popular pop songs from the older generation that appealed to a lot of the young girls. This included Disney songs too with pop stars. It was good to look at this to gain ideas of what will work we’ll for my piece of music however, I then realised I couldn’t use such music due to the voices of the singer as it would be too old and mature compared to the age voice of my model.

Purchasing blank discs and clear CD cases.

Looking into royalty free music. Trying to see if there are any that could work for my theme however as I use a child pop singer it has proven to be very hard to find anything on these websites

Through Mixam printing I was quoted £33 for my cd booklets to be printed with 5 copies. I was very happy with this as it included express delivery too giving me the most time to make sure my print was correct. I also decided to then print my inlay through Mixam however I had to add a blank page to the front and back in order for it to work which I could later crop off.

NIGEL BARRETT PHOTOGRAPHY also allowed me to print my A3 poster at his studio as he also provides a professional printing service. I was very happy with the outcome as the colouring looked exactly the same on screen and on paper.

The first two attempts at printing the cd label did not turn out correctly. Firstly, the alignment was very off and therefore did not cover the whole of the round templated cd area. Also, the colouring was completely wrong and was a whole one shaded pink which was not how my image looked. After readjusting the position in DECADRY and changing the paper and quality settings I finally got my cd label to print correctly.

PRINTING MY CD LABEL AT NIGEL BARRETT PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO For my CD printing I had gotten lots of very expensive quotes online that were just not reasonable. Due to this, I spoke to one of the UKs leading family portrait and wedding photographer Nigel Barrett who then kindly agreed to allow me print at his studio in Bexley, London. Although I could not directly print onto the cd, I was able to save money by not wasting disks and printing onto a cd label which then could be stuck onto the disk. We used a programme called DECADRY which allowed me to position my image onto the selected printing area and see it in a disk template.

CD INLAY LAYOUT when trying to set out my inlay for the cd I came across some issues. This had nothing to do with my own personal work however was an issue regarding adobe in design and the templates provided. I spoke to other members of my class to see if they had the issue however they did not. I then asked someone from the IT help desk for help however he was not sure how to resolve the issue either. The only way to resolve this issue was to remove all extra boxes and text from the provided template and just leave my artwork within the main provided square box.
