alright but that’s not even the biggest problem. the problem is that not only pb - but almost every platform that provides fiction almost ALWAYS have to include some type of woman vs. woman/‘who’s the best/prettiest gf’ situation.

Now - I’m aware that you can choose a male MC, but literally take a step to the left and look at the characters for TRR/TRH.. yeah.. what was olivias role before she became friends with mc? baby bump - what role’s only purpose was to be against mc and practice internalized misogyny before they became friends? let’s talk the freshman series.. how was Rebecca in the beginning? Poppy from QB?

it’s so frustrating and I’m tired of it. I understand that there need to often be some type of rivalry, but it’s really not necessary to include internalized misogyny and irrelevant ‘cat fights’ over a man. I’m NOT taking away or neglecting the mentioned characters personalities/storylines. ofc they are more than the ‘lesser woman’ (🤢), that’s my point. but the problem is that they always have to be introduced as the bitchy woman that is the enemy. and the reason why they are, is because of their desire for a man - which the MC often shares.
