valerie-jacobsâ:
Over the past couple of months, Valerie had officially settled into her life as a college student. Classes were getting increasingly harder, the sorority was a lot more responsibility than she expected but she knew it would be a good network once she had graduated. She had made a sturdy group of friends. Basically, she was living the life she had always dreamed as a student off on her own and couldnât have been happier about it. Minus the fact that she was consistently looking for a slender brunette in the herds of students that were always around her.Â
With her hair pulled back in her signature pony tail, Val got out of the car, stopping only when her friend, Jeremy who was gay as gay could be, had to stop in order to pull his phone out of his pocket. The conversation was quick, a couple words exchanged between the two before he quickly caught up with Val âSheâs inside and as impatient as hellâ he laughed, the both of them quickly scurrying inside. To say she was surprised was an understatement as her gaze landed on an all too familiar face. Hopefully no one noticed her quick falter âYou much be Mayaâ she walked forward, extending her hand to the woman âJeremyâs told me so much about youâ
It wasnât long before the waitress came by and as Maya was about to place the order, she saw the familiar face walk in. Cross that -- two familiar faces walk through and she suddenly became nervous. âIâll have the french vanilla latte for now, but my friends are here so theyâll order in a moment.â she gestured towards the couple that walked inside. Maya met Jeremy with a tight hug, whispering a âomg itâs her â in his ear before pulling away. Her smile only widened when the other spoke up to introduce herself and Maya couldnât help but feel such glee at seeing her. it had taken so long to find her that in the end she had given up. It had caused her sleepless nights and a lot of slacking on her homework that she had to pull herself together. And just out of no where destiny decided to work itâs magic.
"--Oh they better be good things.â While the blonde was very familiar with how good she can be, she was hoping Jeremy was being the best wingman for her in that moment. She extended her arm to shake the blondeâs and cleared her throat because she still didnât have a name to the face. Yes she could have just scrolled through all the texts she and Jeremy were exchanging but that would be too rude. âOh, and I just ordered a latte, what would you like to order?â and she only brought that up because the waitress seemed to be losing her patience while waiting for all of them to hurry up. âYou just started at Williamsburg University, right?â she asked. While a part of her wanted to make conversation that wasnât so boring, she was still nervous. Did the other remember her? Was she too drunk to remember her? Damn, why did she have the urge to pull her close? All those memories of their night together came rushing back and Maya realized she was going to have a hard time thinking straight.
