it doesn’t matter how many times i rewatch episode 6 (and i’ve rewatched it…a lot), yuna telling shane “i’m sorry i made you feel like you couldn’t tell me” always makes me feel like i got punched in the gut. that is the EXACT correct thing to say when someone comes out to you and is clearly uncomfortable about it, especially if it’s your kid. it’s the single most reassuring line i’ve ever heard as it relates to queerness and also just in general.
shane didn’t do anything wrong by being queer, and the visible hurt on yuna’s face when she realizes that shane thinks she’s disappointed in him? and she immediately insists upon him making eye contact even though it’s hard for him so that he knows how much she means it when she tells him that there is absolutely nothing wrong with him being who he is, and in fact any fault falls on her for ever making him believe for a second that she was more interested in his career than on him being happy? it’s…like i’m literally crying. i wish i had a yuna. please be like her if you ever have a queer person who has obviously struggled with their identity for a long time comes out to you.
i just briefly thought of the idea of hudson williams doing hot ones and now it is my dying wish to see connor and hudson on hot ones. hudson would get to da bomb and start cussing out the chefs who made it, followed by increasingly sexual commentary about how the inside of his mouth is feeling. connor would be the incredibly sweet man he is and politely start crying, though nobody is sure if it’s because of the spice or because hudson’s hilarious. i NEED it

i really thought the point of "being lgbt+ doesn't absolve you of racism as a white person" was that white people arent absolved of racism by being marginalized but it really seems like people think other marginalizations make it okay. no being disabled doesn't do it. no being poor doesnt do it. we need to fight against racism actively no matter what.
