New Brunch menu at Maximiliano in Highland Park You asked we answered! We are so excited to announce; Maximiliano is launching a new brunch menu starting Saturday, October 10th. It is been almost four years since we opened our doors to the public and we could not think of a better way to thank you than to give you what you have been asking for. We revamped our brunch menu and we are throwing in a one-time weekend special. Come in for brunch and enjoy $2 mimosas and a half off on all Craftsman draft beer with purchase of an entree. No matter what time you come in, we have something for you. Not a morning person, not a problem, we offer a selection of house made pasta or you can try one of our new delicious salads. We have a salmon salad with caramelized balsamic red onions or you can try our skirt steak salad with a killer blue cheese dressing. Not to mention we will still be serving some of our beloved classics like our breakfast pizza with pomodoro, fingerling potatoes, bacon confit, fennel sausage, and mozzarella. We also still have our signature benedicts, both our house smoked salmon and house cured bacon confit benedicts are not only mouthwatering but priced modestly. That goes for our whole menu, don’t expect to leave feeling you broke the bank. We want you to feel restored in every way. If you have been coming for years, our just haven't had the time to stop in, now is the time to give us a shot. Three reasons Maximiliano serves pour over coffee. 1. Provides a cleaner cup of coffee. The pour over coffee method is one of the cleanest ways to make. There is no residue left in the cup because the water is not running through a drip and is not fully immersed. Between 200-207 degree Fahrenheit water is poured into the cone. The temperature depends on roast you'd prefer, and boom your coffee is ready. 2. More efficient way to drink one cup. All you do is place the cone on top of your mug, pour a single serving and you are done. 3. Provides better extraction than drip coffee and less mess than a press. The proper brewing of coffee requires using a certain amount of coffee, ground precisely, extracted to the correct degree, and controlled by the right time and correct temperature. In short, because of the temperature of the water and the fact that it is not just slowly dripping, it is also not completely immersed in the grinds. It makes the pour over coffee method superior to any other method for really excellent extraction. Besides the coffee press clean up is the absolute worst!
