IT’S     A     STRANGE     SORT     OF     PEACE     ,          a   stretching   silence   ,    calm      /      tranquil      /      easy   .    perhaps   it’s   the   feeling   of    safety    ,    ever   present   at   felix’s   side   ,    that   draws   in   the   calm   quiet    ——       &&      she’d   be   more   than   content   to   rest   here   for   a   while   longer   .    there’s   little   else   to   be   said   about   the   spot   they’ve   found       (      in   the   shade   ,    refuge   from   the   glaring   sun   ,      )       or   how   they   intend   to   whittle   away   the   day       (    with   no   plans   ,    so   to   speak   .    she   doesn’t   mind   that   at   all   ,    she   finds   .      )       there   are   birds   flitting   about   above   them   ,    chirping   an   unheard   melody   ,

——        &&      THERE’S     A     SLIGHT     PRESSURE          to   the   top   of   her   head   ,    so   light   she   almost   misses   it    ;      it’s   fleeting   ,    startlingly   gentle       (      &&      she   looks   upwards   ,    catches   the   beginning   of   his   cheeks   darkening   .    she   can’t   help   but   smile   .      )       not   a   moment   is   wasted   in   contemplation   ,    how   uncharacteristic   !    she   moves   to   return   the   gesture   ,    a   quick   ,    gentle   kiss   to   his   cheek   ,      &&      she’s    beaming   .

THERE     IS     NO     ROOM     FOR     DOUBT     ,          not   here   ,    in   the   sanctity   of   her   arms   .    there’s   comfort   in   the   fingers   twined   with   hers   ,    her   head   resting   atop   lucina’s    ——       here   ,    she   could   spend   an   eternity   .    there   are   words   murmured   against   her   skin   ,    oh   -   so   -   slightly   muffled      /      yet   no   less   clear   .    it’s   a   simple   sentiment   ,    well   wishes      /      gentle   tone      /      soft   smile   all   curving   upward   her   lips       (      her   gaze   never   leaves   the   crown   of   lucina’s   head    ——      she   soon   presses   a   kiss   there   ,    gentle      &&      calm   .      )
