considering that they would heal

before the plague you infected me with left and found another victim

there isn’t a cure 

never have I felt such contemptment so pure

you always warned me of the edge, just as you pushed me

and watched my back creep closer to the inevitable. 

unaware of all the time that was passing and edging me closer to it

you backed away as you knew where i was positioned, and with full force, kicked me off.

i watched your expressionless face and lifeless demeanor remain unscathed and stone-wrought. 

maybe you cared enough that you knew

this would be a better fate than letting it dismember me slower.

the plague is dispelled from the body, 

and wretchedly migrates to another vessel.
