Celebrating the life of George Sportel by wearing just a portion of his hat collection.

Today was filled with lots of tears and laughter as we said our final goodbyes to this sweet man. He lived his life fully for his family and community. He was full of love for his 4 kids, 12 grandkids, and 9 great grandchildren, with 2 great grandchildren on the way, and not including all the spouses and step family members, all of whom mattered just as much to him! While the world is now short a great man, he created an even larger blessing with his family that I am so thankful to be a part of. Thank you, Grandpa, for my height, my prominent brow, and for always bringing it back to the bigger picture, God. This is not the end. He makes all things new!
