Thumb brushes over the redhead’s cheek. He really is like a dog sometimes, Haru finds. Eager to greet him when he arrives home, leaning up against him, always needing to touch him – and don’t forget that he demands attention. 

( Rin’s also a big goof, though he knows the shark wouldn’t like to hear that. )

Of course, Rin has to bring up how pouty he got before – as if in retaliation. So much for Haru staying cute. The noiret rolls his eyes, letting his hands rest on Rin’s shoulders as he turns his head away. He can’t quite escape, but he can pout.

“You forget that I also acted pretty uninterested. Which I can do, again, if you bring him up again.”

Though, in Haru’s defense, he did spend lots of time with Sousuke back then, but that’s just because they’re best friends, are on the same swim team and share a fucking room-- so of course he’d see him more often. 

It’s not like he’s interested in Sousuke the way he’s interested in Haru... 

“Haruu” Rin whines, attention focused on the raven again, leaning even closer and leaving close to no personal space for Haru to isolate himself in. “Hey Haru” he says again, nose poking his cheek. “You wouldn’t say that if it was the truth, you know” there’s a little knowing smirk on his lips. “You said ‘acted’ not ‘was’” he adds, knowing he shouldn’t but not being able to resist the urge. It’s not everyday they discuss Haru this way.

“If I was as close to anyone else as I am to you, you’d get mad.” A hand, brushing a stray maroon strand out of Rin’s face. 

“T-that’s…” he swallows, finding he can hardly deny the truth in Haru’s words, simply imagining Haru being as motivated, as interested, as anything really, into someone other than him is…. unpleasant.

“Oh shut up…” he mutters, finding off a flush (and loosing) at the casual touch, he ends up leaning his face forward into it anyways. “…Not like you’re not the same…” he says with a little (wide) smirk on his face. “I remember how sulky you got over Sousuke, you know” he leans a bit more and their noses brush. He’s already feeling much, much warmer on the inside.
