To say artist and writer Tracy Butler was nervous when faced with the daunting task of launching her very first Kickstarter in the middle of a pandemic is an understatement. Her purpose? Team up with Spike Trotman of Iron Circus Comics to adapt her popular webcomic Lackadaisy into an animated short film. Her goal? $87,000. Despite Butler's initial fears, it's a goal they managed to surpass... in less than a day. In its final week, the campaign at the time of this writing has made over $280,000, obliterating its creator's expectations and giving hope for something far larger down the line.

With our current pandemic and PPE shortage, I'd figure i would try helping out in making face shields to donate for hospitals to use for the short term. Face shields helps the longevity of masks from being soiled sooner and of course being a physical barrier. It's more of a, better to have than nothing at all. I've somehow managed to sale enough items on Etsy to cover the cost of my of small diy laser cutter. I would like to step up to a faster and more powerful laser at some point, but until then, this will do and I'll start using my 3D Printers also to make some new items.

First week (re)opening my shop again, I got 3 sales. That's a lot more than zero. Shipped the third one out today. Current goal is to break even with the cost of my laser cutter, about 1/3 there.

I don't know what I am doing really, but I know it was worth the try and its forcing me to learn new things.

I hope I don't get taken down though.

Even though I made my first sale and I shipped it today, I started having my doubts about it. Then i got notified for my second order. I am so confused.

3.875 x 3.875 inch wooden laser engraved Coaster with a cork bottom and light water resistant coating. Handmade to each order. Half-Life was made in 1998, but it didnt have much an affect on me until Half-Life 2 came out years later in 2004. Its one of the few franchises left that I hold close to

With the announcement of a new Half-Life game, I decided to make something out of it. Very few games nowadays don't have much of a hype affect on me. Next being the C&C series.

Work has been somewhat easier recently because I have been training my replacement for my promotion (?). Probably will start in December. I am offered two positions and I haven't chosen one until I am confident with my replacement (90% sure).

Also I let go of my roommates. I hope they understand the situation they are actually in and do what it takes to improve. It's bitter sweet for me.
