Vash and Wolfwood intervene when Meryl is drugged and nearly assaulted by an acquaintance, helping her to pick up the pieces afterwards. (Mashwood Week, Days Three and Four: Hurt/Comfort and Angst) content warnings: Meryl is drugged by an acquaintance, but Vash and Wolfwood intervene before any more harm comes to her. That being said, Trigun is a story where both Vash and Wolfwood have experienced loss of bodily autonomy on multiple occasions in the past, and I allude to these experiences throughout the story as they respond to the situation and comfort Meryl. I intended these references to be read as July/Fifth Moon and Eye of Michael-related, but I tagged for implied/referenced assault for want of another way to class them. Please take care of yourselves and feel free to skip this fic if it would be triggering for you. Additionally, my Meryl is asexual and brings up the possibility her acquaintance viewed it as a challenge; Vash and Wolfwood reassure her this is not the case. There are references to nausea and one brief instance of vomiting.
