after a day of being unnecessarily mean to cam, charlie always makes it up to him with a cuddle session by lights out.

charlie just pats the empty space next to him on his cramped little bed and goes, “c’mon, get in,” whilst looking at cam who has his back stubbornly turned in dalton’s direction.

every single time cam tells himself that he’s not gonna give in, but he never lives up to his word. so the minute charlie calls out his name for the second time, cam is already scrambling out of bed to get to his roommate’s side of the dorm.

or when cam’s in a really salty mood and refuses to move himself over to charlie’s mattress, mister dalton just invites himself over and plops down right next to the red head.

I actually like to think he would sing with his name. Or a variation of it (Todd. A. , instead of Todd Anderson or something) Like, there would be something really special about the kid that was once too scared to read poetry that wasn't even his in front of others, eventually singing a poetry book with his own name, and reading it out loud. It's like proudly saying 'I wrote this', 'these words are mine' . All the shame he once felt now completely gone.

Headcanon that Knox’s middle name is Theodore and Charlie often calls him “Teddy” as a joke.

Also, Charlie starts his letters written to Knox with: “To my Teddy…”

Charlie Dalton would absolutely go to war for any of his friends. He would fight and die for them if he had to. No questions asked. When it comes to the Poets, Mister Dalton does not fuck around.

His parents made damn sure that he was able to dodge the draft when Vietnam rolled around, having bribed doctors to fail Charlie for his physicals. BUT that didn’t stop Dalton from getting his ass booted across seas anyhow because the MOMENT and I literally mean the VERY SECOND he heard that Meeks went MIA, our Charlie boy knew there was no way in hell that he'd let his friend die and rot in some jungle when he could go save him.
