Left the Lac de la Haute-Sûre and crossed the boarder to Belgium. Bastogne was decorated with umbrellas of all color. They have a “museum” for ham and one for porc sausages. All over you see the typical Blanc-Bleue-Belge. The typical kind of cattle in the region.

Found a place to stay for the night. Turned out it was a motorcycle place. But they played H-Blockx in the bar 😂

Endless landscapes. Not too different from the Hunsrück or the Eifel.

Luxembourg is scattered with tiny villages. No matter how small, each has an impressive church and not few own a ruin or a bourg.

Finally made it to Luxemburg. Again in the middle of nowhere. But French influences are visible 😃. Found a place to stay with my tent. Weather gets better. And finally some cellular connection. Tomorrow further on. Direction west.

The new and ugly (not yet finished) Mosel-Bridge. Bernkastel. A viez self-service wending machine.

Again it did start raining. Bummer. But the meal I got in Traben-Trarbach was compensation - „Gräves mit Tresterfleisch“

Das Moseltal - the Mosel valley. Steep hills. Warm slate, chilly wind from the river. Hard work. Home of the best white wine.

Crossed the Rhein into the Hunsrück. Found a small camping site there. Not many people. Few, very small villages. No chance to get some food. It’s not a région cullinaire, it’s windy, cold… it’s the Hunsrück. It did rain the whole night. Thunderstorms, lightning - I was able to leave my tent the next day at about 2pm. Lost more than a half day. Everything wet. Took my stuff - direction Mosel

Took my way from Frankfurt through the Rheingau. Hot weather. Wine is early this year.
