Hello! Today I am going to show you how to make a tiny pumpkin. Itβs a great fast project for using up scrap yarn, and they make great decorations, cat toys, or little gifts.
Letβs get started!
1. Start a circle. You can either do a magic circle, or be weird like me and chain three and attach it back to itself and then increase like mad
2. Make your circle bigger. Increase until itβs roughly an 1-1 Β½ inches across.
3. Stop increasing and just crochet around for a while until you get a little bowl shape
4. Start decreasing to make it (roughly) a ball. Before the hole gets too small to stick your finger in, make sure you stuff your ball! You can use polyfil, though I like to use little scraps of yarn (I save the ends I trim off when making other projects and stuff them inside)
5. Round out your ball! Sew the ends in.
6. Take another color yarn (I use brown because it will also become the stem) and pull it through the center of the bottom and top circles. Tie it off as close to where it enters the circle as possible.
7. Wrap the yarn around the other side and thread it through the same holes again, tying tightly.
8. Using the same holes and the same principle, tie the yarn around each half twice more to make the βsectionsβ of the pumpkin
9. Tie the two ends of the yarn together a few times to make your stem longer, and then trim! Enjoy your tiny pumpkin!!!
Let the pain subside until the tides cool down
