there's so much here that i don't understand

“Don’t worry, you’ll get better. When I first started working at the Brew i almost spilled steaming hot coffee on people just about everyday.” 

“Well that’s good to know.” Marley said laughing. “If I had more work as a graphic designer then I wouldn’t have to burn people with coffee.”

‘’Now, let’s not get rude around here. I am an upstanding citizen and deserve a little bit more respect around here, if I do say so myself.’’

“Asking random girls to take their tops off doesn’t seem like upstanding citizen behavior. No unless you want to actually have a real conversation, go away. I need to drown my sorrows in this drink.”

“Well you did spill soda all over him…”

“I know, I know. I’m new to this waitress shit ok.” Marley said rubbing her eyes. “I’m horrible at this.”

“Mad? No. Furious? Possibly. I suggest we high tail it out of here.”

“It’s not like I woke up today saying i’m going to throw a rock through a guys window. I didn’t even think I would throw it that far.”

‘’Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. I am looking to broaden my horizons.’’ 

“Well go broaden them some where else, because I’m not interested.”

Oh i’m good. Still at the mystic eye, obviously. I might apply to college and by might I mean I am. 

That’s great. I’m happy for you. I need to get back into some classes for work but that’s about it for me. 

‘’Oh, I’ve been called a lot worse. But now that we got that covered, can we move onto the more entertaining parts of this evening now?’’

Rolling her eyes, Marley took another sip of her drink and tried not to gag. “I’m sorry, but I think you have the wrong place. The strip club is down the street.”

‘’Did I ask you to strip for cash out loud? My bad. I guess you have the vibe.“

“You’re a perv.”

“Just sit still while I sketch, obviously.” 

“But why....there are a lot more interesting things around here.”
