Here We Have The OFFICIAL Comparative Political Spectrum Of Marlboro College, Courtesy Of Today's Town Meeting. Thanks Everyone!
God question, Kathy! XD
It is not not every day that you encounter someone so young with a full beard in a four year institution, even taking on the daunting challenge of completing a Plan of Concentration in economics, but that’s exactly the role 16 year old Yoni Bork is currently filling at Marlboro.
A high school graduate at age 14, Yoni has remained steadfast in his conviction to redistribute capital from corporate interests to the public sector. He is endlessly concerned about the acceleration of our globalized economy following NAFTA (a trade agreement older than he is) and now Bork is fired up about the propositions made by the Trans Pacific Partnership bill, which he describes as “injurious and/or frightening.”
As a sophomore,1 young Bork has much work to do before he can even hope to see his ambitious weltanschauung become a reality. To create a more just world through economic reforms would not only be a dream come true for Bork, but for millions of Americans who are struggling to make ends meet.
To end on a more lighthearted note, we asked Young Bork what his favorite candy is. Here is his eloquent response,
“I like sour patch kids a whole lot. I find that there are a lot of powerful kinships between their physical form and the world we inhabit today. They come in many colors, which I perceive to be representative of the multicultural world and nation we are a part of. I am also compelled by the powerful transition that they make when you put them in your mouth. At first,” said Young Bork, “they are sour, just like the current economic situation we are confronted with today, but by the time I am finished with them, they are sweet.”
By the end of our conversation, Bork grew teary eyed. He is grateful to have found a dynamic learning community like Marlboro College, where he is able to pursue his passions. Yoni urges today’s youth to reject the status quo and never stop dreaming.
Isn’t It Great to Have a Kind And Caring Dean of Students Who Can?? :-) The Institution Of Marlboro college Takes Pride IN Its Staffs and Faculty.........

Hello! What would you say is your strong program?? Thank you so much for answering!
we have Lots of strong program, unless you are coming here for a football scholarship. nobody plays footbal, beceause what if you eat the snow accidentally? That would be bad, and hard on your stomach probably too, becaues there’s dirt under the snow banks I heard. That’s just a rumor, though.
If you’re into literature, you can study literature. That’s a strong Marlbroo program. There’s not very many “””actual””” programs at Marlboro though, because we are but a small mountain school nesteled in the trees. The fact that we’re a liberal arts college means that Most or Many students who come to pay devotionals to Marlboro College come to grovel in the Humanities-- that is, philosophy, literature, writing, et ceteras. your program at marlboro is up to you. that’s our cool guy style. ;o)

MORE THINGS ABOUT "SELECTBOARD"!!!! We will be releaseing several articles today about our NEW and very good Head Sleep Person candidates, being voted on today (11/18) and (11/19) tomorrow, during lunch. It is a very important position which can only be held by one person at a time, for like two semesters, rather like doing a Presidency. Our focus now is bearded community member Christopher Maleney, who is also running for Head Select Person. Here is what he says, in response for us asking if we might have a comment on his Current candidacy: "Ehhhhh, yeah, all right. [.....] Nah [I wouldn't like to add anything else] [.]" WHAT A DREAMBOAT!!!!!!!!!!!! If you should delight in voting for this Christophe Mahoney, please make your way to the DiningHole NOW!!! ::))):) :-)

HAVE YOU HEARD OF "SELECTBOARD"? Here @ Malrlbro college, we have a group of governing students & faculty who run some things. Right now, currently, at this moment, we are holding elections today & tomorrow (11/18 and 11/19), at lunch, to replace the ILLUMINOUSLY HANDSOME rainbow (who is a person, and not a concept) as our Head Selelct Person. Sasha, above pictured, is one of four REMARKABLY able candidates trying for the position. We here at our College BLog at Marlboro tracked her down for a statement on her candidacy: "(cough) [...] You should vote for me, because I care, and I want to do the thing. Trust me to care, because I want to. [...] What? Leave me alone." & THERE YOU HAVE IT ! Would Sasha Lundon not have a lovely reign as HeadSelect? Would YOU vote for London?? More coverage on the remaining candidates to follow. !

Isn't it so wonderful what we do for our students ????!!!!!!!
Must one pay anything to join in on the outdoor program, once attending Marlboro?
no!!!
unless you were to take out, say, a kayak and five frisbees, and never return them....... in that case, you are required to pay $1 a day for each item not returned.
so, be diligent! return your items! be kind to our "mountain" home!!!!
Heya! I'm so so so very interested in marlboro! can you give me some examples of student organizations? is there any philosophy group? maybe a jazz band? thank you so much!
yes of course !
there are lots of student organizations, some informal & some informal - the formal ones are just committees and those are generally pre-organized and controlled (or at least overseen in one way or another) by town meeting/selectboard, which are primarily student-run and faculty/staff supported, and there are formal elections every semester for new committee members to be added as students graduate, leave the committees, etc
other committees that come to mind immediately are farm committee, trans/queer resources committee, food committee … stuff like that /
as for informal groups, there are a ton of things available for students and all groups/clubs are more or less student run and their existence depends purely on student interest.
if you want to start a jazz band or a philosophy group, you totally can!! all you need to do is find people who want to do those things with you and then you have a club. i know somebody who decided they wanted to start a boxing club and now there’s a pretty regular group of people who practice boxing once or twice a week on campus. & another friend who is trying this very semester to revive our internet radio station, dead tree radio!
when it comes to sports, we’re a little limited as there’s not really a super formal way to join a sports team and the only teams we have are for soccer and basketball……. again, as far as i know, the soccer team is entirely run by a student, or a couple of students. but we do have the OP which organizes C O O L T R I P S into the woods or to other outside places, in whitewater rafting or camping or rock climbing trips, etc. hiking is popular. the outdoors are vast round these parts
student life on campus is pretty much entirely dictated by the will of the students. reslife, or Residential Life, organizes events now and then, but when it comes to actual groups, if you want something that doesn’t already exist, you can organize it yourself!
so that’s a pretty neat part of going to marlboro !!
Has anyone ever fucked Mather? (The building)
