Last Friday I summited Mt. Whitney with my best friend. 14,505 ft above sea level, the highest mountain peak in the country (before Alaska became a state). The mental and physical push was immense and I couldn’t be more proud of myself and my favorite adventure buddy for being such badasses who set out with this crazy goal 4 months ago and overcame every obstacle to accomplish it. A successful summit is hard to do on this mountain not only bc of the physical demand but the weather pattern this mountain creates itself. We were stopped from reaching our first campsite on time, for example, because lightning was literally striking the mountain a mile away from us. How cool! Anyway, it certainly pushed us but more-so, as these trips always do, it motivated us to plan the next adventure. You rock @chelseupde and @d3edwards who couldn’t summit with us (bc of an injury) but met us at the end for MANY beers and fried food. 👊 (at Mount Whitney)

yesterday I was approached from a German magazine about licensing (paying for use) of some images I took of @hersocialapp CEO @robynexton, 2 years ago!! It’s for a possible cover story and i’m super excited for both of us BUT the main takeaway was that: THIS is how you should be using other people’s photographic artwork. SEEKING PERMISSION. PAYING. Unfortunately it’s a story any artist knows all too well, being taken advantage of bc they can slip under the radar or bc they know the artist won’t sue. Plz be kind and respectful of one another - if you use someone else’s art for promotion. Plz ask. Plz pay.
