Matrix is a series of works / project / product

Aim of the project - to improve quality of spaces (that has existing standard recessed ceiling) using simple and inexpensive solutions.

The product is composed of rgb (variable color) LED strips and light dispersing plane.

‘Mind Maps’ Series -  Reflections of mind through order in chaos.

S A M T I S (the spoon) is a gallery of food, sound and light.

The space is in a refurbished farm near Kaunas city in a residential area. In pursuit of clients the primary function of serving food was accompanied by a contemporary art gallery function.

Leading idea – a contemporary art gallery space with no clear division line between object & subject, infilled with sound. The interior is alive, constantly changing and adapting to people, events and desired atmosphere.

To fulfill the concept a light matrix of 48 pixels (LED strips) is designed to cover the ceiling. Four individually controlled speakers are mounted at corners of the space. Depending on the light intensity at certain side of the light matrix sound volume is adjusted accordingly – meaning sound follows light.

Details

* Color. Neutral tones to absorb and reflect color.

* Textures. Wall composition is pragmatic. Based on existing wall tidy and damaged mortar areas.

* Floor. Highly reflective concrete finish reflect light & color from the ceiling.
