Itās been about 18 hours since we found out about the shows in Vienna and why they had to be cancelled and this is me stating the obvious but Iāll just say what Iāve been thinking:
Itās terrifying. What this world has come to over the years is horrible and even more so when the possibility of the unthinkable at a place that is only supposed to bring you joy comes into play. I feel awful for the fans that were planning on attending, especially because this wouldāve been Taylorās first time playing there. Thank goodness that security and intelligence personnel were able to catch it in time before any harm couldāve been done. I think this should serve as a reminder that we donāt know about a vast majority of the threats Taylor faces on a daily basis. I donāt know how she handles it, itās also very terrifying to think about, and when she makes decisions with safety as top priority in mind, there is no one on this planet that has the right to question it when like I said, we donāt know about so many of the things she has to deal with when it comes to stalkers or situations like this. None of us will ever be able to fully understand what itās like nor should anyone pretend like they do.
I think at this point all we can hope for is that Taylor, the people she puts on the shows with, and the fans that planned on going (I saw videos of them singing in the streets which was nice to see š„²) are okay and that the rest of the tour goes on as safely and smoothly as possible. After everything that has happened in the last year and a half, both good and bad, this leg and the next one deserve to end on a high note.
