Turns out, I’ve always been pretty into not wearing pants on Christmas. And very into white cowboy boots. Still a huge fan. Thanks for digging this up after my Christmas post, Momma. I’m not sure how you and Aunt Maya kept a straight face while I was doing … well … whatever the hell I was doing in this pic. Interpretive dance? Trying to imitate the Grinch? Just really expressing myself? Whatever. The outfit still feels very right to me. 🎄

🎄What a way 2020. As I've reflected on the last decade a lot this week, one of my comments to myself is to be in nature as much as possible this year. To trade the hustle and bustle for the sound of the wind moving through the trees, and the smell of rivers. Nature is my place of worship. And worship her I will. This planet deserves our admiration and our protection. As humans, we have a supreme capacity to harm or protect. This Hit me hard a few years ago when I had an opportunity to high glaciers in Alaska with my friends @eddiebauer. Remember that trip, you guys? It was incredible. It's plugged me back into myself (in a way that still hard to explain) and made me reprioritize my calendar. It help me commit to spending the transition to 2020 outside everyday in #Idaho. To walk atop the ice on that trip, and through the woods on this one, and know that we as a constituency could push to save it? And more than could, should? Watching these traffic fires unfold in Australia reminds me that more than knowing we should, we must. We briefly we each get to be here. We should love her with the Reverend she deserves. I for one will be outside to stare at her as often as I can this year, and all the years to come. I will - as my old Pals at Eddie and @leltone taught me back in AK - Live My Adventure.
